Greetings from North bay. I just delivered my second batch of cinn rolls, this time to the supers in my building! Now I am going to try these rolls, since I am making turkey soup tomorrow!! One thing to remember for dinner rolls or cinnamon rolls is you don't want to knead it as you would bread. Rolls will be softer and more enjoyable with a quicker knead, maybe a few minutes.
@RiseAndBakeWithJulie6 күн бұрын
That’s such a great tip-thank you for sharing! You’re absolutely right; a lighter, shorter knead makes a big difference in keeping rolls soft and tender. Over-kneading can develop too much gluten, which is perfect for bread but not ideal for rolls. I really appreciate you pointing that out!

@@RiseAndBakeWithJulie Well, Susa … I mean JULIE … 🤓 (btw. I say all this with the best intentions and compliments… and also … I cannot believe you’ve never heard that before! I saw the resemblance instantly and still do!). Anyway … to answer your question, my keto rolls were a small disaster. Tasted great, but looked goofy. The rolls just melded together into a giant cake basically. The final product was falling apart and didn’t hold up together too well either. After a day or so in the fridge it seems to have dried out a bit, but still more like a cinnamon cake than rolls. Probably my fault for not following the recipe I saw for it, as I modified things a bit, like adding extra heavy cream and melted butter to the batter. I also used cream cheese with butter as the spread along with the sweetener and cinnamon. I think all of that was just too much. Very rich and delicious otherwise! Just too cake-like. I’ll probably remake it in a couple weeks just like the recipe says and let you know!

Is there a reason you don’t use brown sugar? Just wondering. Thanks.
@RiseAndBakeWithJulie9 күн бұрын
Great question! I prefer granulated sugar because it lets the cinnamon flavor shine through without the added molasses flavor from brown sugar. That said, brown sugar works great if you prefer a caramel flavor. Both are delicious options.

Can u explain why ur mixer is situated on a cutting board?
@RiseAndBakeWithJulie7 күн бұрын
Good eye! For this video, I had my mixer on a cutting board over my dry sink to make the most of my counter space and lighting. My kitchen is a bit tight, so I often use my large IKEA cutting board to create extra workspace. It’s not a setup I use often, but filming can be a bit tricky sometimes!

Question: Do you need to add sugar while the active yeast proofs? I thought it needed sugar to bubble up.
@RiseAndBakeWithJulie10 күн бұрын
Great question! While sugar can help yeast proof faster by feeding it, it’s not always necessary if the yeast is fresh and active. In this recipe, the warm water alone is enough to activate the yeast, but adding a pinch of sugar is perfectly fine if you prefer-it won’t hurt the process at all. Thanks for asking, and happy baking!

You should not put the salt in the beggining, it dont let the yeast work in the right way !!
@RiseAndBakeWithJulie12 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your concern! You’re absolutely right that salt can inhibit yeast if added too early. In my recipe, the yeast is proofed first in warm water before the salt is added to the dough mixture, which allows the yeast to activate properly. My rolls rise beautifully every time, but I always appreciate learning and discussing techniques. Thanks for watching and for your input!

I want to understand the way to include a cover when printing a booklet. I downloaded your templates and wonder if you print the front and back covers from a separate document. If so, how do you format the layout to be a booklet size, since we don't want those to print back-to-back.
@RiseAndBakeWithJulie29 күн бұрын
You may want to try converting the .pdf cover into a Microsoft Word document. To do this, in the Adobe cover file, click File > Export a PDF > Microsoft Word. Once you have your cookbook finalized (including your table of contents) insert a blank page before your table of contents and copy and paste Microsoft Word cookbook cover there (cover). Then paste back cover on blank page after your last recipe. Hope this helps!
@cyndisunderland3729Ай бұрын
I love your simple guide videos. Thank you! I created my cookbook with your suggested template, then inserted a page break at the end of each recipe. Is that the correct way to do it so each recipe will start on a new page? Since the document is formatted as letter size paper, do the recipes split to the next page if they are too long for Booklet size sheets?

@RiseAndBakeWithJulie29 күн бұрын
Thank you! This is a full size stocking with a little stretch, but keep in mind that I crochet tight. Each standard finished granny square should measures 3 3/4" X 3 3/4" on my stockings. So if you'd like yours a little larger, see how your block measures up to mine.

You should never used bleach on mould, use a mixture of white vinegar and water it kills it straight away and isnt toxic, using bleach makes it more toxic and very dangerous, also never touch mould and damp without gloves and mask and clear glasses to protect yourself, I got told this from a professional campervan repair place, just a heads up
