I'm 6 ft 2 and I weigh 300 lb and I own this bike right now currently. I started on a ninja 1100 and I've ridden up to 1300 cc's. Been riding 16 years. I absolutely love this bike and it is the most fun that I have had since I've been riding. I put a 15 tooth sprocket to make first gear longer consequently though every gear is a little taller now so it's slightly less torque. I wish we would stop calling these beginner bikes. Powerband kicks in over 8,000 RPMs and then that thing just wants to rip for a small bike that's where the fun is. 8000 - 13000 RPM. Fun little bike. The bike is plenty fast for City riding and she does the highway fine. You won't break any sound barriers and you'll have to plan your takeovers when passing. But this bike is absolutely perfect for around town in the city and through twisties. Still faster than most cars. A smaller lighter Rider will have different results. I'm telling you man this bike is great

I crashed today. Nothing big, me very young rider, miscalculated the right turn corner, tried stopping on gravel left next to the street, didnt work. As soon as I hit the gravel with my back tire it flung me off. Luckily no traffic was coming my way and when I flew I only had about 15-25 kmh left, so got no bruises, nothing. Still it was a dangerous situation because any time traffic could have gone my way and since I and especially my bike, which I was trying to recover from the street, were direclty behind another corner where we wouldn't be seen by cars until it's too late to stop, I tried my fastest to get outta there as soon as possible, while still trying to collect my mind (and some debris laying on the street). Right now I still don't know how to feel about it. Yes I made a mistake, I knew about the risk of taking the corner with speed x but I still went for it since I didn't see any cars and the area aroung being clear for possible crash. So I would say I calculated for the risk. But still lucky, because when I crashed no car came to further increase danger. I am not scared to get back on, but I also don't want to pass it off like nothing happened and just continue the way I used to before... Any recommendations?

Hey, I had one of these years ago in the mid-2000s! They're pretty zippy for a small displacement bike. They aren't too heavy which helps. Only thing is that the smaller and lighter bikes feel a bit "wiggly" when on less than perfect roads. The handlebars wiggle. I had a death wobble once and dumped mine :(

that is a comuter bike for around town, i had one for my starting bike and to let friends ride along me , nothing wrong with those 300cc 8n my book i dont ride faster than 100 mph because at that point im killing my self if i crash , so 100% of the time i get to 100mph and i let go thats plenty for mee , i onow friends that need to have a bike that can go 200mph plus but to each their own , if that rocks your boats , then you do you by all means nessesary.

Thanks. I just got a 250 for my first bike. I don't mind going slightly slower speeds as I'm still getting used to it. I'm not ready for the highway anyway, but it's good to know that I can when I'm ready.

Great video, enjoyed your insight about the ninja 300. So far that's where my sights are set on for buying my first motorcycle. The ride would be about 80% commuting for 10 miles a day in Long Beach, CA. After all the videos I've watched and the research on going... yeeup, ninja 300 for sure! Wooo! Let's roll! 🏍

Do you have to split? I wanna get a motorcycle but of course I wanna live. I wanna have a motorcycle but it’s not like if I die I wanna die on a cycle, I don’t wanna die or not go fast. I wanna ride it while I’m still in school because I want to become a pilot, and once I’m flying won’t really need a car that much.

Nice video, thank you. I just purchased a 2019 N1K and love it. I have noticed it's a hot running machine, especially around town. Seems to need a lot of airflow to cool properly. All in all, it's an amazing bike and I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Do you think getting a motorcycle as my first vehicle would be an absolutely horrible idea? I know that it would be super dangerous, since I’ll still be super new to driving, and motorcycles are way more dangerous. Do you think I could compensate for my lack of road experience by putting more time into practicing or something? This is something that I really want to do, but it seems like it’s probably not a wise decision. If there’s any way to make it work, I’ll do it.
@QwahziIRL9 ай бұрын
It's definitely possible (many places in the world use scooters/motorcycles as primary vehicles), but it's going to be *a lot* to learn at once - road vigilance, traffic patterns, motorcycle muscle memory, laws, etc If you can take a MSF course and then spend a few hundred miles in local neighborhoods building the muscle memory until it's second nature, you could probably do it, but I wouldn't want to be learning the muscle memory while also learning how driving really works (adapting to real world behaviors that don't necessarily match the law/textbooks)

There are no decent used bikes.....you ride your ride, let others ride theirs. If you are growing tired to quickly then you forgot what motorcycling was about. It isn't about power, but a sense of freedom.

You really used a torque wrench to loosen it? You are only supposed to use them to accurately tighten something.
@QwahziIRL Жыл бұрын
You're correct, I didn't have a breaker bar at the time. I replaced the torque wrench to be safe, but luckily when I compared the new one to the old one they both still worked the same
