I want to restrict non-members from playing videos. If someone tries to play a video, they should see an alert saying "You need to press the membership". The video element is div.premium_video video (tag).

we have bold in our store and are happy with it and we want a gift subscription add on but the execution of this for me isnt very good. if i was receiving a gift subscription id be wondering why its showing me the product at full price and have to add it to the cart at full price and then not until i get to the checkout does it take it down to £0. Then id be like, why am i having to enter my card details when ive been given it for free?. The concept is excellent but I think customers that receive the gifted sub would get confused

Hi Steven! Good feedback and we can see the point for sure. We think it comes down to the messaging in the email and on the notification page that the recipient gets. For example, you can customize copy in the email that explains the gift receiving flow, that might help it a bit. We would add these three bullets in there so the recipient isn't confused: - When you claim your gift, the price will appear on the subscription, but it will be made free in the checkout. - To activate the subscription you will need to enter a credit card to cover any upgrades or add-ons as well as shipping. - When the gift subscription period ends you may choose to keep the subscription going or log into your subscriber portal and cancel or pause it.
