i havnt learnt all about rigid body mechanics yet but is there a possibility that the second and third problems could be just solved using concepts from a.2?

No unfortunately not because it is also rolling which also has an energy, and that we dont learn in a.2.

@ oh what about a.2 and a.3 cuz a.3 covers energy

No, a3 doesnt have rolling kinetic energy

Sadly, the answer key and your solution are incorrect. The spaceship will perceive the distance to be shorter according to the Lorentz contraction. 1200m / gamma = 720m

At 9:35, You wrote V_C=2\dot \frac{kQ}{r}= 2\dot \frac{8.99\dot 10^9\dot 4\dot 10^{-9}}{0.6m} however it is 2\dot 10^{-3}. For viewers that dont understand latex: V_C = 2 * (k * Q / r) = 2 * (8.99 x 10^9 * 4 x 10^(-9) / 0.6 m) No offence intended, just trying to clarify. I love your videos and I've almost finished the M23 TZ1 P2 Series :) Thank you

are you allowed to answer in actual finals with tables?
@ConvergingIB
@ConvergingIB 28 күн бұрын
I think so yeah, why not? As long as the content is there that are needed for the mark it should be good, its not always expected to answer in complete sentences, so when comparing and contrasting it might be easier to just do it like I did. Plus i doubt an examiner would deduct marks cause you structured it wrong even though you showed understandring with the correct points.

Specific latent heat is in mega joules.. shouldnt you be converting it to joules
@ConvergingIB
@ConvergingIB 5 ай бұрын
Yes indeed, it is ok if its in MJ when you plug it into the formula, but then your final answer will also be in MJ, which then you can convert to Joules, which is what i tried to do, but i wrote 1.9*10^(-4) instead of 1.9*10⁴, but other than that the 130s is correct at the end. I calculated with the correct value just wrote the minus sign by accident. But you could also just convert to Joules before and youll get the same, as you said.

5:12 The reason we can't just say that the slope is constant, is because the equation we use states that pV/T is a constant, which is the equation of a straight line that PASSES THROUGH THE ORIGIN, and that we cannot tell just by looking at the graph here, and so we need to calculate 2 points and see whether they are the same, like we did in the video.
