Im thinking of getting a certified massage therapy course, just trying to get information about the subject. I have a question if there are any types of massages that dont require a lot of hard pressing on the body but are still effective. Im worried about hurting my hands after years of doing intense work with my hands.

What do you feel are the most important things to staying in this career long term? Do you have specific stretches/exercises or a limit on how many massages you do in a week?

I would say to know your limit! If you can only do 3-4 a day, stick with that. Burnout is the easiest way to end this career. Make sure to feel comfortable with the height of your table. Do you like it lower or higher? You don’t want the height to give you back problems. Stretch everyday! I like doing lower back stretches..cat/cow stretch. Do weights to strengthen muscles. 💪🏽 and get a massage every month.

How much time do you leave between clients? What things do you need to do between clients?

It really depends. If they are in the same household, maybe like 10-15 mins in between. But usually it’s like an hour or 1.5 hours apart if I have to drive to the next client :)

I just pack up my supplies and table:) supplies include cleaning spray, foldable stool, oils, sheets and table :)

I want to create my own youtube channel and become a content creator. I've been using all korean skin care for a long time and do all my own DIY skincare(microneedling, meso etc). Creating content for skin care companies would be dreamy. Wouldn't even be working for me cause it's so fun and I'm so passionate about it❤️🔥. There are no pros. Day spas will rip you off for everything they can. The corporate ones are the worst. People who own those spas who have no experience in the health of beauty industry have no clue what they're doing and lose employees left and right.
