Great video. I went and traded my buddy my 93 dr650 for a 96 1200 sporty. I figured, if I was going to go up in the hills and screw around on a cow of a bike I should make it something that inspired me when I was a kid. That'd be, Evil Knievel! Don't know if I'll race it but will definitely see how long I can wheelie after a year or two of practice

I installed them and it is not working out at all. The ride is no better than stock. A little different but not better. I’ve spoken with the owner Brian. He is sending new springs for me to rebuild the shocks. I’ll stay open minded but I’m not feeling good right now. The internet and KZbin raves about these shocks. So I feel it’s worth the extra effort. Time will tell.

Why is there nobody that shows reinstalling the fork tubes into the triple tree? The manual diesnt even gi there. Ive got new firk tubes and they will not slide in. Micrometer shows that its snug but should fit. Somehow it doesnt want to go and i dont want to have to get a bigger hammer out.
@GearedScienceАй бұрын
@@shannanhostetler5349 just seeing this now because I’m shit at keeping up with my KZbin. Did you get em in? Are you sure you loosened the pinch bolts all the way? Also dumb question but are you using the right diameter we tubes? 41mm tubes might fit in 39mm sliders I’ve never tried but def won’t fit in the trees

God we rock so hard in WI😏 To the haters of the look of the final bike 1. don’t be rude it makes you look fat. 2. he’s not a professional motorcycle anything just for fun. Ignorance must be bliss. I occasionally design & build HDs CvO seats with the the lead designers and engineers here at the eagles nest MkE and the process is the same- fun and frustrating. Building something out of passion like Chuck did takes balls and humility to be mentored when your out of your element and have expert support. That’s what life’s about
