Question. Is the script at the six o’clock in gold or silver, I recently purchased one and not 100% sure it’s legitimate. While I can’t find any noticeable or obvious flaws I am underwhelmed by the dial. Maybe my expectations were set to high but after research I see there is “ replicas “ or fakes out there.

Awesome review 👍 I pull the trigger on BB58 OG the day the blue dial version came out. I immediately found value on the OG. After owning it since, it pretty much buried all other heavy hitters from my collection including the Sub. No other watch that I have comes close to the wrist time of my BB58 OG. It definitely becoming the one watch collection.

You said the length was 43.5mm which is the size of the T24 NOT the T18. The t18 is smaller. Do you the 18 or 24?
@stavros_katsopr4 күн бұрын
I totally understand why this got your heart, you sound more than pleased with it, i'd say happily surprized... Although size would be a drawback, it looks fine on your wrist, although 42 and "full" dial makes it even bigger. Guess black case saves the day. I'm not a skeleton guy myself, but there is one that caught my attention some time ago, the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Skeleton. Maybe it's because i like the whole line. But i fear them, as reading the time becomes a chalenge. Anyways, enjoy mate, be well, cheers.

It was impossible for me to screw in the upper crown without uncontrollably moving the inner bezel.

If you bought the watch second hand, I don’t think you should expect the movement to perform within specs. You don’t really know how the watch was kept, even if it was hardly used. It may have been dropped, magnetized, etc. I’ve bought enough pre-owned pieces to know this. And I think this is fairly common sense. Other than this point, I think it was a fair review.

might seem weird to some people but i bought the 34.5 mm women's size. it's basically the 43 mm but sized down so you get the better bracelet, bezel, etc. looks good on but just under 6.5 in wrist

- At 2:38 you can see how the pointed end of the clasp scrapes against the bracelet creating a wear line. Tudor design flaw that bugs me. I believe they’ve done away with it now on newer BB models.
@Hiking-Mountaineer16 күн бұрын
The underside of the clasp is silky smooth, with no sharp edges, and no 90° angles on the scissors part. I don't think I've ever heard a single person talk about that on a watch review. Just something to think about.

Love the watch. With the bracelet and case shape it give 62GS vibes. Very attractive option at this price.

VERY pretty in purple! Nice review; under 10 minutes and to the point! I’m more of a dive watch guy, like the Lumière in blue with a strap.

Great review! Can’t wait to pick one of these up. Would be great if they add the tfit but I have a Seiko 5 diver on a steel bracelet that I never feel I need to adjust so it’s not a big point a contention for me.

It is always needed, I have some bracelets I don't find I need to adjust. Just a nice to have! And with San Martins that cost under $200 with quick adjust bracelets, I expect it on watches at this price point :)

I know they discontinued and then re-released some of their models with the in house movements. But yes, I don't see this one anymore. It is possible they will re-release it with an in house movement?

So for 36mm in titanium, the blue and and green dials have a really heavy fade into black. This one seems a lot more subtle or is it just the lighting?
@JustWatches1Ай бұрын
Can't speak for the blue or green in person, but the purple in person is subtle - it goes from purple to darker purple, but not into black.

120 bezels are less sloppy than 60 click bezels.

Depends on the watch I think. Some of the Damasko ceramic ball bearing 60 click bezels are some of the best I've ever experienced. That or the B58

Excellent collection of watches - I like that you're not prejudiced against quartz watches and see the value in lower priced pieces.

@alexmood6407Ай бұрын
I like your watches. Try to venture out a bit. If you avoid the hype there are excellent value watches out there. I picked up very good never polished Geneva seal watch for 3k. I feel like the bezel on that watch took longer to manufacture than my other watches in entirety.

Hello, I would like to know if this is a good watch or not, please let me know.
@JustWatches1Ай бұрын
It's a great watch if you don't mind the size. It is quartz so is going to be very accurate, and it has a stopwatch, second timezone, etc. The only other con is the bezel is a bit hard to turn, but these are minor complaints.

Very good choices. Especially like that Chronomaster that I've also been eyeing for quite some time. I also spent this year trimming down to 12 (the limit setting box is on the way 😂). Had about 30 but realized I simply couldn't enjoy so many...so 10-12 seems like a good sweet spot. My most worn this year was the Yema "Armee de L'Air" Superman quartz PVD black. If you ever get a chance to find / borrow it...amazing. Always thought I'd have my Seiko Alpinist as my main watch, but that got dethroned and sold 😅. Also, check out Direnzo. Exquisite value. Had the DRZ05 Solaris and now own the blood red DRZ03. Happy holidays!
@JustWatches1Ай бұрын
Yes, that is my main problem when I had that many watches. There just isn't enough time to wear and enjoy them all. That Yema looks really cool!! I have never handled a Direnzo, I'll try to get my hands on one!

Interesting collection! I love that Chronomaster. I'm surprised at your reasoning to sell the BB58 despite you wearing it all the time. You said you wanted to experience other brands. What other brands or specific models are you looking to try out with the money you got from the sale of the Tudor?

The 58 is so well made and perfectly proportioned for a sports watch. It borrows from classic Tudors without being a slave to an exact copy . It really is its own thing with an update to the classic Tudor 7924 Big Crown. The gilt bezel gives the 58 a warm feel, the red triangle offers a pop of color paying homage to the Tudor Big Crown, the chunky coin edge crown is so satisfying to wind with a refined matching coin edge bezel and I love the snow flake seconds hand. It’s different from the more traditional lollipop style. By the way, 39 mm is on the smaller side for a modern sized sports watch. I think anything smaller is playing vintage territory.
@JustWatches1Ай бұрын
It is a very well designed watch, and those details definitely stand out!

Nice review! I can't decide on a color. On this colorway, is the bezel actually matte black ceramic or just DLC coated steel like the rest of the ring? Thanks!

I own the white version of this watch and it is very uncomfortable and wears large because of thet lug to lug measure on the bracelet. I've never had that problem with any other watch for my 7 inch wrist. I am going to try a new (19mm ! ) strap. I would advise others who buy this watch to factor in a new strap and not plan to wear it on the bracelet.
@JustWatches1Ай бұрын
Yes, I tried to draw attention to the fact that the "true" lug to lug distance is 52mm in the video! It makes a huge difference unfortunately.
@KabobHopeАй бұрын
@@JustWatches1Thanks. It wears better on the strap, but really this is a rare Citizen misstep. I'm definitely happier with the strap.

Bought a San Martin Datejust with the SW200 movement less than 90 days ago, and dealing with the warranty process has been nothing but frustrating. The watch has issues, but the AliExpress return options require me to pay out-of-pocket for shipping, which doesn’t feel fair for a warranty claim. The seller offered two alternatives: a small compensation for a local repair, which isn’t nearly enough to cover the cost, or mailing me the movement itself for a DIY repair-something that isn’t realistic for most buyers. On top of that, they asked me to undervalue the watch to avoid customs issues. For anyone considering buying, be aware that if something goes wrong, the warranty process can be a complicated and costly hassle. Conclusion, of course it’s a beautiful watch. Great value for the price but if something goes wrong, you’re somewhat screwed unless you’re savvy enough to fix yourself or a familiar with custom shipping products which I am not nor am my expert on fixing watches. Certainly my watch right now it’s a fancy paperweight right next to my other beautiful watches in my collection.
@JustWatches1Ай бұрын
Oh that isn't good, sorry to hear about your difficult warranty claim experience. I did pay to have mine shipped back for a warranty claim, which I was surprised about too at first, however, from what I understand this is quite common even with most larger brands including luxury brands such as Rolex.

I would totally purchase this over a Revue Thommen, Tissot, or a Alpina, or Seiko, or Citizen, any Day, this is truly a Swiss Made Brand, they are still Family owned, and I personally would buy One, over any of the previous brands, I just mentioned above, within this price point, this is Quality, this is even nicer than Oris in my Opinion, also there rare as well.
