The 58 is so well made and perfectly proportioned for a sports watch. It borrows from classic Tudors without being a slave to an exact copy . It really is its own thing with an update to the classic Tudor 7924 Big Crown. The gilt bezel gives the 58 a warm feel, the red triangle offers a pop of color paying homage to the Tudor Big Crown, the chunky coin edge crown is so satisfying to wind with a refined matching coin edge bezel and I love the snow flake seconds hand. It’s different from the more traditional lollipop style. By the way, 39 mm is on the smaller side for a modern sized sports watch. I think anything smaller is playing vintage territory.

Nice review! I can't decide on a color. On this colorway, is the bezel actually matte black ceramic or just DLC coated steel like the rest of the ring? Thanks!

I own the white version of this watch and it is very uncomfortable and wears large because of thet lug to lug measure on the bracelet. I've never had that problem with any other watch for my 7 inch wrist. I am going to try a new (19mm ! ) strap. I would advise others who buy this watch to factor in a new strap and not plan to wear it on the bracelet.

Bought a San Martin Datejust with the SW200 movement less than 90 days ago, and dealing with the warranty process has been nothing but frustrating. The watch has issues, but the AliExpress return options require me to pay out-of-pocket for shipping, which doesn’t feel fair for a warranty claim. The seller offered two alternatives: a small compensation for a local repair, which isn’t nearly enough to cover the cost, or mailing me the movement itself for a DIY repair-something that isn’t realistic for most buyers. On top of that, they asked me to undervalue the watch to avoid customs issues. For anyone considering buying, be aware that if something goes wrong, the warranty process can be a complicated and costly hassle. Conclusion, of course it’s a beautiful watch. Great value for the price but if something goes wrong, you’re somewhat screwed unless you’re savvy enough to fix yourself or a familiar with custom shipping products which I am not nor am my expert on fixing watches. Certainly my watch right now it’s a fancy paperweight right next to my other beautiful watches in my collection.

I would totally purchase this over a Revue Thommen, Tissot, or a Alpina, or Seiko, or Citizen, any Day, this is truly a Swiss Made Brand, they are still Family owned, and I personally would buy One, over any of the previous brands, I just mentioned above, within this price point, this is Quality, this is even nicer than Oris in my Opinion, also there rare as well.
@HRobertoVerhage15 күн бұрын
I just ordered this watch, it looks like a good quality and nice finish. I don't mind its a NH movement. Easy to service or replace and my watchmaker can get an NH movement adjusted to +3 seconds. Fine by me.

But I bought 140d Challenger For The Inner design Texture ..it feels like Aqua terra omega 😃😍...plz suggest me Which size leather strap should i use for this 140d ? 🙂 waiting for your reply
@JustWatches114 күн бұрын
It does look like an Aqua Terra! Okay the tricky part with the 140d is that the lug width is 21mm so that is what you need to look for. Unfortunately, 21 is much less common than 20 and 22mm straps, but they are out there!
@GRVOP14 күн бұрын
@@JustWatches1 will it fit The 22mm size ?
@JustWatches114 күн бұрын
@GRVOP probably not. If you want you could use a 20mm and it might have a tiny gap but it might not be that noticeable it depends on the strap material

I am sitting here holding the 400$ citizen with my 3000$ GS side by side, case finishing almost the same, both sunburst dial, GS has signed crown, hours indices GS is better finished, then the bracelet look the same, but when you wear them, you feel the difference, only thing GS doesn’t have is the lume. Anyway, Citizen got a great move on this one.
@JustWatches114 күн бұрын
Citizen absolutely nailed it with this one, I agree. Glad to hear it is impressive even next to the GS!

Been thinking of getting this or a less pricey ORIENT RN-AR0010R Contemporary. Can you compare this two?
@JustWatches114 күн бұрын
I don't have this one anymore sadly. The ORIENT RN-AR0010R looks really cool, maybe I will review it. What I would say that an Orient Star is likely going to have slightly better finishing overall.

The last designs of Timex seems to me very interesting, but I think they have to improve their quality according the price is rising up, those dials are defective, the slot aren't centered, haven't you seen this?
@JustWatches114 күн бұрын
I think Timex is priced rather aggressively, especially on their mechanical watches. However, they seem to sell most of their offerings out, so I think they found their sweet spot. I don't buy them new unless they do a big sale. I did have one issue with a Timex, but I will say they took it right back and refunded the money so that was nice.

@JohnnyBeans-w9k You can buy a steel reef on the fly micro adjust to solve the problem. I actually prefer the clasp on the BB58 over their new tfit clasp because it is slimmer and the steel reef micro adjust link gives me the perfect amount of on the fly adjustment.

Watching your vid everything became instantly clear and it was a great relief. I think the face design may have the edge over the DS30, but it has 100m water resistant rather than 200m, it’s thicker by a fair bit and the AR coating has a blue hue and anecdotally is less scratch resistant. The lume on the DS30 is supposed to be better and I hear that the anti magnetism and anti. Corrosion is better with the DS30, which is why it is essentially the updated version. For my large wrist, the 40mm case may suit a touch better and I like the inclusion of the day. Overall, though, I just love my DS30, a watch for life. It’ll outlive me!
