I like this version, but, having watched Farewell my Concubine with Leslie Cheung in this role I still hold his performance as the gold standard for this wonderful opera.

once again, amazing performance by Feng Mantian. of course the rest of the band, and especially flute player. i cannot tell just by looking, if it is qudi? maybe too high to be qudi, regardless he is amazing. is there a name for the style of singing? wonderful voice!
