It sounds like a Magnaflow, if so I had one on my Silverado with headers and 3" pipes and the muffler got WAY louder after it broke in. Took about 3-6 months, it would scream when I raced.

On the white crew cab check if the ecu has ground i had a truck try at wouldn’t turn on and i added a wire of ground and ended up turning on

Try the borla pro-xs. I had it on my truck that had a tsp stage 3 cam w/ headers. It has a good tone to it. Nothing crazy but no where near as loud as the other exhaust you had.

The truck does not sound like it's the same truck I would have gone with the cutouts I have cutouts with the cam haven't had any issues to this day I think you should just go back and get a cut out
