I'm a fashion nut, my Mum is called Iris but somehow I did not discover Iris Apfel until around 2017 when a UK magazine called 'Lady' caught my eye with its sonic pink cover! It was Iris in an amazing vibrant look. I keep that mag for years by my bed. How she wasn't on my radar prior I will never fathom. Now I have the internet (ok, very late to the party) I am lost down a rabbit hole of all things Iris Apfel. Looks like a fab event that I would have loved to experience in person, however this way of experiencing is still a joy. So many thanks to the uploader.

In the late 60's/early 70's my buddies and I would walk from Black Point Rd around the beach and descend the lava stairs to go out surfing. We could see the pillars above us and one morning there was Jimi Hendrix waving at us and saying' "hey sisters" as we paddled out.....we were teenagers....what a beautiful life we had there.
