This may be well known, but I recently watched an interview with Freddie and he said this song started as one of his bass workouts. Patrice wrong the song around this bassline. ❤

Why do I never ever really see Ray Parker play. I think he is an Industry Plant. He is the Kevin Hart of R and B.

Guess you're too young to know about his band Raydio. Or see his work with the Crusaders.

Hey my friend and one of the best at what he does. Mr. Kevin Toney. Hey man I'm in Greenville ,SC Love you man. Dinner on me next time you're down in the neighborhood . And not to forget Mr. Ray Parker Jr . You lift the world. Music is a healer. Thank you both. 6/20/24

Sorry to inform you but unfortunately Kevin Toney passed away 3/18/2024 at age 70 🙏🏾🕊️

@@kool-ki7739 Thank you for that information. I watched him play in a video while attending a church function. I commented on his performance and he responded with some kind and encouraging words. I have a couple of his CD's and now they mean even more to me. So many of the people I admire from different walks of life. That have inspired me have joined the list. Yet I'm reminded that I read that God takes us early because we have accomplished and touch all he desired us to do. I thanked Kevin then and I now thank you. When the flowers of joy disappear, prepare for the storms of life to start. Soon and very soon, we're going to see the King.
