Apparently fishing jigs with the beginning of outgoing tide at the mouth of the inlet is where its at because it flushes The bait fish out into the Open water and the predators are out there waiting

@@danielfetchak1865 the way these fish were eating, they wanted the bait to be at a dead stop. They would not stay on a bait during a figure 8 because of how clear the water is. Thanks for watching.

Probably outside of weed beds with flicker minnows. Early season trolling at night time in the shallows is good. Thanks for watching!

Walleye wise we definitely haven’t caught the numbers like we have in previous years but 95% of the ones we’ve caught have been over 20 inches. A good amount in the 23+ inch range

I got a tip take those 4 in ky-tech long line trolling those at bout 1.3 to 1.5 mph just get out enough line to where you're ticking the bottom troll it you can lift it up as you're trolling and let it go back to the bottom to make contact so you know you're close to the bottom put it about a quarter piece of nightcrawler on it and hang on to your pole last year in this year I started doing that and I've been catching tons of fish and it works really well

I used to travel down from Marquette in the U.P. to Danville, Ohio to fish smallies in the Mohican the first week of October with my high school buddies (I'm grew up in Akron). The one and only saugeye I every caught was during this time but it wasn't in the Mohican, it was in the Tusc just east of Coshocton. It was an 18 or 19 incher and it hit a black and silver Thunderstick jr (shallow runner).

I would caution just recommending someone to a trip without asking what they want to catch. Not everyone wants a stinky musky. Most people don’t eat then. People want to eat what they catch.

What lakes got saugeye in Ohio?

Indian, buckeye, tappan, saltfork, seneca, piedmont, atwood, leesville, pleasant hill. There are other rivers in central and south west Ohio that have saugeye also.

lol I could argue that!! last year had fish hooks in me that required clinics!!! hook in top cartilage ridge in side the ear, and another that went in behind thumb nail. nail had to be removed.
