No, you can do it with any guitar! If you listen to a lot of gypsy jazz recordings you would be surprise how many aren't on gypsy guitars!

Don't know why many don't play the early Django rhythm and play this modern dry version of them which don't swing as hard.

@@Pete_B_773 it is really a different sound! The way people play now makes the music a little more open to Bebop and jazz phrasing. Different sounds, and different beast. I find myself in the middle on what I prefer. I like both!!
