Hasn't worked for my flashing light issues. I disconnected both grounds and waited a few mins and still get the flashing lights.

How do i know when my sealed lead acid battery is fully charged with solar controller 😔
@MrLuckyLegs Жыл бұрын
Thank you for this. I have a simple 20amp solar controller in my campervan connected to 2 x 80W thinline flex solar panels. One or other is not working as there is no charge input arrow showing on the controller screen. I did as you said (at night) and disconnected my battery, and after many hours the solar controller LED screen was still on (luminated) showing low voltage in battery around 12.6V showing on screen...why would my solar controller still be on after I disconnected the battery from it? Surely it doesnt have any residual power after many hours? What charge could be illuminating my solar controller when battery bank is fully disconnected (unplugged)? Hope you or other readers can help? thank you.

Hi. I have this solar panel. I notice you say "junction box" when references the positive and negative feature of this panel. Can you explain how to properly wire this panel?

So I was just about to get out the ladder and thought, there's GOT to be a better way! And there is. Disconnect all 4 leads to the controller and wait the 2 minutes. No ladders or blankets needed. Hope this saves someone falling off a roof.

Me, i just turn off my two circuit breakers, panels first then batteries wait 2-3 mins then turn on batteries then panels and i'm good. However i only do this when i'm working on the system and never had to do a reset for any reason.

What are the symptoms of worn bearings? Mine just started to make a weird vibration today. Blades not damaged and less than a year old since they were replaced. Is it bearings or a fault in the electronics? No crunchy squeaking noise and the vibration came on suddenly over the course of a windy morning. The blades and rotor seem to be tightly fastened still and I'm not feeling any undue slop anywhere or dragging when I rotate by hand. No slop in yaw bearings either.

This does not test the isolator under a load- it merely tests if the junction exists, and does not check for the mode of failure where the bonding goes bad and they go open circuit - which seems to be the way these isolators are failing as they age. It will only show a short, and that a junction exists. So it is not *wrong* - but it is not actually a functional test. The correct way to do a functional test would be to pass a known current through the junctions, for example, using a curve tracer. Also - if you use this on any vehicle with a Delcotron type alternator and the isolator fails to open under load- it acts just as if you pulled the terminal off the battery- it will destroy the regulator in the alternator every time. You should only use a FET type or solenoid type isolator on a Delco/GM alternator.

Users should be very careful that the cables don't touch and short while testing. A little tape over 1 connection can make it safer. Also set you meter back to normal adter testing the sc amps. If not it is like a short circuit the next time you test any circuit for voltage. A short can cause a problem.

My symptoms are that it shows zero current in and out when there are many lights on. Rover 40A. I just connected the battery during the day after being disconnected all winter. I guess the order matters? This morning the sun came up before I connected the battery.

I followed the video and replaced the bearings easily, thanks. Points to note are that the hex bolts are all Imperial. I didn't have a hex spanner for the 3 wire connections but managed to do the job with the wires in situ. Took the 2 (Chinese!) bearings to Bearing Warehouse and they quickly came up with SKS equivalents for £12. For reference they are 6203 ZZ and 6203 2RS , identical except one has the plastic shield as per the video. A nice simple job!

Have a Renogy Rover 40 amp MPPT which got confused when there was a lithium battery over discharge. Was not able to reset the controller to clear this issue and allow full recharging back to battery. Followed these steps and the unit is now fully charging the batteries again.

Unebliveble that they do not have a reset switch, it is just so hard to have to climb up on the roof to cover that thing every time it crashes and need a restart. Lately I have just started to unplug and connect it again even if I risk electric chock of 80v... I will have to install an on of switch so it can be reset without all that hassle.

Why are you removing the bearings of the original system? How many volts does that system produce? How many rpm does the system produce? How many volts? Explain first, then do everything.

When you test a brand new panel this procedure works. Why would i test a brand new panel. You have to put a load on a used panel and the meter cannot be the load because after a while the meter will start smoking from the heat because not only is the current going through the meter but the full voltage of the panel is also across the meter.
@uralguy51314 жыл бұрын
It's not for reseting the first memory voltage, if your solar panels were 150V and you had them on a 24V battery bank, you can't reset it the way you are showing it, when you changed your panels to 100V and the battery bank is 12V now. You will need the Bluetooth adapter for this kind of hard-reset.
