If I am not wrong ford does this when your bluecruise is about to expire. A lot of people have said this on the Facebook groups. I tried to renew mine but it was charging me. I believe because my bluecruise doesn’t expire till October
@TechMotoring5 күн бұрын
It seems to be random from what I had been seeing in the forums. I had checked mine about 1 month before it was set to expire and it showed free. I have no idea prior to then what it may have said. I suppose you can check every month or so to see what happens. It seem weird that Ford would be so secretive about this.. Thanks for commenting and watching.
@LGReef5 күн бұрын
@ yes it’s very weird for ford to do that. I’m so glad they finally sent the update to the 21 mache. Excited to try bluecruise 1.3 on my next road trip

I have one to charge my Kia EV9 from my Tesla wall charger at home. It worked great for a few months. Now, however, while I can disconnect from the car, I cannot disconnect the adapter from the cable. The release on the bottom just won't budge. Tried charging again, stopping the charging, same result. Tried resetting the wall charger, shutting off the breaker, still won't budge. Don't know how to contact Mavulo.
@TechMotoring8 күн бұрын
I just looked at my adapter to see what could be the problem. The only thing I could suggest is to make sure that the lock is slid to the unlock position before pulling on the release tab. As far as contacting Mavulo, here is what I found on their Amazon page. Free User Support If you have any issue, please do not hesitate to contact us via the following steps: 1. Sign in your account 2. Find the corresponding order for Mavulo products 3. Click "Ask Product Question" with the corresponding order, we will reply you within 24 hours. I hope this helps you out and you get this resolved.

This was a nightmare trying to figure out for my 2021 Tuscon. First of all, if its just a radio update then you need to make sure you select audio only not navigation. Download the Navigator downloader, log in, pick your country , language and car, etc. Then go to Gen 1 update if your car is older than 2022. The Gen2 update is for 2022 and newer. It's gonna make you think you need an SD card, but thats not true, You got to skip past that part. Once you get the files for your car and year downloaded, you gonna extract first then once done that part the files you just extracted you will open to find that Daudio or Dbaudio folder i can't remember the exact name ,but it's gonna be one or the other spelled like that, that is the file you will copy into your usb drive and only that one shouldnt be any more in that extracted file anyway so.. also, if you have a new unused 64gb flash drive, you wont have to format it. Most of these new drives are FAT32. so don't worry about that part. once in the car and plugged in it will take about 15 minutes to update and yes the car has to be running the whole time. i hope this helps someone. If you run into password protected? then youve either downloaded the wrong file or tried to unzip the file after you extracted it , in other words, you took a step to far.

Hi there. Thanks for the great review. I was just wondering if it is possible to recalibrate the speedo with this scan tool. Im running factory wherls and tyres on a Toyota Aurion 2017 (essentially a v6 camry) and my speedometer reads consistently 7kms under the speed limit. I know with the regulations in Australia they quite often program them to read slightly lower as a safety feature up to 10% under. If not do you know of any scan tool that has this functionality? Thanks heaps
@TechMotoring10 күн бұрын
I would always check with the manufacturer for that functionality for your specific vehicle before purchasing. You can reach out to Kingbolen for that request. I would suspect you would need the Kingbolen Ediag tool as that has some more functionality than this Ediag Elite. Hope that helps.

I currently have a 2021 Ford Mustang mach e select and the only thing I would change about it is the range and updates. wish I would have gone with the long range or California route 1 and wish that ford was better at over the air updates like Tesla.
@TechMotoring16 күн бұрын
I can 100% relate to your comment. There are times I wish I went for the bigger battery in my Mach-E. Though I am fairly impressed with the efficiency of it considering the battery size. Sometimes I wish I could do an extra 50-60 miles during a road trip. The OTA updates are my other pain point as well. Ford promised a much faster release schedule for updates which has come up quite short. Especially with BlueCruise updates. Thanks for sharing and watching.

My 2020 bolt just got this error tonight when I left work. It was about 9° outside and I got in it and turned it on. "Vehicle Soon", "Propulsion power reduced". I drove it home and before I plugged it in I checked and saw it would only charge to 30% and wouldn't let me change it. My car had a battery replacement by GM as well. Hopefully mine is just a software issue because here we are in 2025 so I guess it's covered under the 8 year/100k mile warranty.

@TechMotoring21 күн бұрын
Yeah, I probably slipped up a little. To qualify for the used EV tax credit the vehicle must be at least 2 years old, under $25k, and the vehicle could not have the tax credit claimed on it before. Nice catch and thanks for watching.

This didn't work for me. It just says "insert the USB stick containing the update and try again." The USB stick is 32GB and formatted in fat32, I tried copying the update file without extracting, I tried copying it with extracting, I tried taking out individual files from it and putting them in the root directory, I tried using a 16GB USB 2.0 stick (which was VERY slow), and every time I get the same error message: please insert the USB stick containing the update and try again. The reason I wanted to try updating the software in the first place is because the "save to my music" option for mp3 files is greyed out, and I've tried clearing all my songs (so now I have no songs on my car) and making sure I have several free GB of available storage on my car, and it is still greyed out. If anyone has any advice for fixing this I'd greatly appreciate it.

My dealership experience with Mach-e was nothing short of exceptional. There was nothing wrong with my car, worked like a clock, but I needed to visit dealership because of the recalls and once to replace the battery. Every time it was easy to scheduled online or by phone, and every time I was greeted at the exact time of my appointment. Every time it was a perfect job, they even did the regular service for free, and did all software updates. They also paid for rentals when service took more than a day and for Uber/Lyft for same day service. I visited two local dealerships, and both were perfect.
@TechMotoring27 күн бұрын
That is very good to hear. Unfortunately for me, this experience is still ongoing. I am finally picking up my car tomorrow after over a month at the dealer. I'll have a video coming soon with my whole experience. It may be time to look into a different dealer for my future service. I am glad to hear about your positive experience with your local dealers.

A small correction, their design is also very efficient because of the aerodyniamic drag and rolling resistance and all that kind of jazz, so the hybrid versions also considered very efficient.

I know there are a huge number of hotels in Myrtle Beach which would make it hard to do a check, but I'm curious how many have put in destination chargers over the last few years. If there were a significant number of them, I might be more willing to come to Myrtle more often now that I have a longer range EV.
@TechMotoringАй бұрын
Considering how many hotels are in this area, there are not enough Level 2 chargers installed at them. I know some of them are also behind a pay wall, so you have to be a paying guest or have a pass to get into the garage. However the amount of Level 2 chargers available just outside the beach area has grown quite a bit. We just need to see more growth in the Myrtle Beach proper area. Thanks for commenting, and reach out if you ever come to Myrtle Beach.

I'm a subscriber and think you're doing a great job. My favorites are your EVSE and adapter reviews. You go into so much depth and show way more than any other KZbin reviewer out there, like with the tug test, temperatures, etc. Keep doing what you're doing, I think it's very informative. One idea I had about something new you could do is a charger review video of the charging sites in the Myrtle Beach area. Kind of like what Kyle Conner did recently in Colorado. Just an idea for a future episode. I'm not sure if you've done anything like that before as I've only been a subscriber for a few months?
@TechMotoringАй бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I could do a video about the current chargers in the area, what little there are. I have done multiple videos in the past on the chargers that have opened in the past few years, and I am planning on doing more videos as more open up. I will consider doing a video on the current state of them since its been a couple years for a few of them. Thanks for being a loyal subscriber.

Happy New Year 2025. A question that if it is connected directly to a 12V rechargeable battery so as not to have to connect it to the fuses, will it work?
@TechMotoringАй бұрын
Yes. Connecting this directly to a 12v source would work to power the camera, however it is recommended to use a fuse for safety. This is why they recommended using the hardwire kit that includes a fuse and plugs in through your car's fuse box.
