Please explain this magic... How does it only distort the repeats (starting at 2:20), is this the PT2399 chip? I don't think I've seen this before.
@PedalExperiments4 күн бұрын
Hi, yes it's a PT2399 based delay. I believe the distortion is coming from overdriving that chip, although I could be wrong about that. Either way, it sounds really cool and perfect for creating huge, walls of sound.

I have the original and have used it for years-it’s my main go-to pedal for trippy solos. I wanted to sell it and switch to the new one to save some space on my pedalboard and maybe make a bit of money. Unfortunately, I can hear the differences... so mine is staying. In my opinion, the old one is worth the big money.

Sounds bloody awful ---only psychos love it !
@christophernoia51978 күн бұрын
I wish you would have tuned it to some other pitches, especially 5ths, instead of just sweeping through pitches to get to the octaves.
@PedalExperiments8 күн бұрын
It's because my pre-recorded loop didn't compliment most of the pitch settings, and therefore I didn't want to dwell on any modes that sounded awful. 😄 Also, my main goal here was to show how to navigate the controls and features, not to show all the different ways the effect can be used in context. There are quite a few other videos on here that cover that kind of stuff, and so I wanted to do something a bit different.

Love that combo with the 4AD!! My guess on the clip toggle is down = diode (maybe Ge?) ,middle = no clipping diodes, up = LED? Something like that.

One of my favorite pedals. After 8 years, the "Out 2" on mine went dark, but I liked the pedal so much I bought a used one to replace it . . . for considerably more than I paid for new.

Hello sir & everyone, can this effect move the patch from patch B back to the patch A without cycling it? It will be really help if you all can help me cause i really looking for this pedal for my live performance. I'm sorry if you don't really get my point cause my english is bad :). Thanks guys
@PedalExperiments10 күн бұрын
Hi! You *can*....but only if you have just those two assigned presets. So it'll just toggle back and forth between 'A' and 'B'. If you want to assign a 'C' preset or more to your list of favourites, then you'll have to keep pressing the footswitch to cycle through them all until you get back to 'A'. Hope that helps?
@joy-gk7sc9 күн бұрын
@PedalExperiments thank you sir for replying. Can the up and down button scroll the patch up and down in the patch menu?
@PedalExperiments9 күн бұрын
@joy-gk7sc No, it can't do that I'm afraid. But the order in which you assign your favourite presets, will decide the order that they'll cycle in when you press the footswitch.

Fuzz pedals usually don't sound impressive on their own. Would be nice to hear it over a backing track to see how it sits in a mix.
@PedalExperiments11 күн бұрын
I'm usually more excited by the sound of a fuzz in isolation, as it's an effect that often struggles to stand out in a band context, unless there are only drums. That's why 2-piece bands like The White Stripes, Royal Blood, Bite The Buffalo, and The Black Keys often use thick, bass-heavy fuzz, since there are no other instruments to compete for those frequencies.

I was trying to mimic the wacky synthy sound of "The Locust" (great band btw) and found out the guitarist uses a Moog Moogifier. The Warm Audio Ring modulator is alot cheaper so i think i will buy that

Can you send some kind of pulse like a CV into the expression socket to move it at a certain bpm?
@PedalExperiments14 күн бұрын
Oooh, possibly? I'm not sure, to be honest! That's a really interesting question. If you ever try it, let me know what happens.
@roberttodd241414 күн бұрын
@PedalExperiments I'll let you know cheers, I haven't bought this yet but I think I'm convinced, I've learned from software that butcrushers are great if you sync them to some sort of envelope, and also combined with a traditional distortion then delay and reverb on guitars, sync the delay and butcrusher and it's awesome especially adding a filter in, you can build big combo patches. I think I will try to send out an envelope from something into that exp port. Maybe my boss auto wah can do something too

@@PedalExperiments actually just researched a d found out electro harmonix makes an 8 step sequencer with expression and CV out. So that's it then, must be designed to pair with this. Sweeet

I got this Mosky pedal and I was kinda disappointed that settings 1 and 2 sounded identical on my unit, while setting 3 was more of a Fuzzface/Tone Bender sound. Setting 4 was a clean boost, which is kinda useless to me. So I thought I'd get three usable settings, but really only ended up with two. Does anyone else have the problem that 1 and 2 are identical?
