Hey pig, do you know what happened to REO? I’m actually very concerned. I haven’t heard from him and it seems like nobody knows what happened to him. He didn’t compete in MK11 and he’s still MIA for MK1. I hope he’s doing ok but I’m concerned it may be health related or he’s facing serious charges.

the game is ass and youre coping so hard. tekken will always be the more complete and richer fighting game, and sales have little to do with quality, purr😚

Tekken 8 is a fantastic game, very well made and came out complete. MK1 came out incomplete but gameplay is best since mk9. All I care about is VS gameplay

@@sakashimayokoshimahapofusagari I think this is a massive disconnect from one type of person to another type of person. Video game developers are in the business to do one thing and that’s to make money, how do you make money? You make money by making games that are fun, not balanced. The success of a video game is not judged by tournament evil numbers or twitch numbers, that is the worst metric to view a game success on, and it is judge primarily, and actually only on sales. I think in this game player expression is alive because the way I play with one character in a cameo is completely different than the way I might play with another cameo in character combination, and that is very different than the previous three Netherealm titles. I like how the gameplay is very close to Mortal Kombat nine and isn’t the dull drying paint gameplay of Mortal Kombat 11.

@@sakashimayokoshimahapofusagari there’s a lot to unpack here about the Games situation and why it came out 6 to 9 months too early and came out missing modes and was incomplete. Do you honestly think that it is the developers fault, some of the most passionate people about their product just decided to mail it in? 2020, making a new engine for a new system next GEN, Covid and making this new engine remotely without your employees next to you and doing it through email, having half your development team poached in 2020 because of how successful your company is, and those people being hired at other companies for higher pay, the acquisition discovery buying warner media, which owns Netherealm definitely slowed any development and progress of this game because when you’re getting bought by a new boss, you kind a need to wait and see what your new boss wants you to do. We’re talking about an acquisition that happened in the very next day after it happened a $200 million film that girl was canceled, although it was completely done. There are a lot of things. People are not considering about the release of this game and are just blind to it and they are just blaming Netherealm for being lazy which couldn’t be more wrong. Sorry if this turned out to be one huge run-on sentence, I’m using voice to text.

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@pighuti'm not even concerned with the game's balance it's more with the idea that this is an actual good FG on a mechanical level. there's almost no real nuance or critical thought involved, matches largely look and play all the same, characters and combos are so simple and kameos being your player expression is exactly my point, and why i say youre in the trenches😂 it's quite lackluster in relativity to other FGs. the game WILL sell because it's carried by a casual audience who like looking at fatals, but the more times they do this, the more people are going to catch on the fact that this franchise has little substance, gameplay wise and overall for that matter.

Ok multiple points that I have to point out: 1) MK1 did came out in a finished state. The Warrior Shrine is exactly what happened with MK11 Kombat League, that also didn't come out at right at launch and people waited for it. And the desync thing started only after the game launch, it's not like delaying the game was gonna 100% prevent it from happening. And it's not just sales that prevents a game from being delayed, it is also the marketing and schedule of the companies that affect releasing of a huge chunk of games across all companies. 2) SF6 is NOT a perfect game, it has a ton of issues with in single player and online, on top of having lag issues during CPT online matches. And it came with TWO major bugs (the throw escape bug and input reading bug). 3) The monetization in MK1 is perfectly fine. I will take a bundle of 10% Fatalities that look awesome and you can customize them for each character over a 15$ TMNT custom in SF6 that you could only put on your one and only created avatar and not the actual SF chars. And besides, if you are a real fan, you would get these Fatalities anyway. MK1 is a phenomenal game, I'm loving every single second out of it. Oh and more thing, it's so awesome that the guy from NRS came in and explained a whole bunch of stuff behind the scenes, this makes the picture much more clear, and he's right, the community do need to understand the situation better. At this point it's not NRS/WB's fault, it's the community's fault.

One thing I think was missing from the Capcom / WB comparison when it comes to the Pro-tour / Cap Cup is that Capcom made the Cap Cup an integral part of the game and the strategy around the game (marketing). Sure you CAN separate the tourney from the game, but the way they present it is as a unified front. The upfront cost of the tour is baked into the success of the game so I would venture to say on paper there really isn't a lose, there is just a cost. 1 Million dollars (and of course add in all the other cost associated with it to), I would venture to say is a drop in the bucket to what the game makes in a year.

1:05:05 Roethor. This kid (and he is a kid, I think he's 16) has found that rare ability to know how to play like a demon while also entertaining the KZbin/Twitch audience. He made Rambo look like the most busted character in MK11, becomes a Day 1 Rain main and showed off some insane tech, still plays Rain at a high level even after his nerfs, and is currently playing Quan Chi and is doing stuff almost no one is doing with Quan/Jax. Do not sleep on him.

NRS PLEASE BUFF REPTILE! Hes such a cool freak8ng character man make forceballs go full screen and take gaos away make acid spit restand or do damage overtime or hit multiple times, give it a purpose! Make his back 2 overhead pop up just a little to get a small combo off the second tier charge when you slightly hold it and make the non charged back 2 knock doen for 45 frames like the second tier charge back2 is!

Reptile doesn't need any buffs, he's a mainly a mid range character in MK1, and he can still Zone from full screen if he spends meter. Also Acid Spit can help with combos and work very well with Motaro Kameo, who also can help with B2 overhead which doesn't need to be buffed either. You don't understand Reptile at all.

I appreciate Panther for hosting it but yeah that's madness lol. The online for this game still isn't up to par to where it needs to be to hold this type of event but I love the effort. There's a reason why in 2021 at EVO Online, there was an MK11 EVO NA Champ and MK11 EVO EU Champ.
