To KNOW God or to know OF God. That is the question. KJV Romans 1.........57ad [21] Because that, WHEN they KNEW God, they glorified him NOT as God, neither were thankful; but BECAME VAIN in their IMAGINATIONS, and their foolish heart WAS DARKENED. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they BECAME FOOLS, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an IMAGE made like to CORRUPTIBLE man , and to BIRDS, and FOURFOOTED BEASTS, and CREEPING things. [24] Wherefore God also GAVE THEM UP to UNCLEANNESS through the LUSTS of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a LIE, and worshipped and served the CREATURE MORE than the CREATOR, who is blessed for ever. Amen Paul switched gears from 20 to 21 as he did 17 to 18. Lets squeeze blood from a turnip. The UNSAVED always have been vain in thier imaginations. They never ever glorified God. They always had dark hearts. They were always unwise. They were always fools. They always made images. They were always corruptible. They were always unclean in their hearts mind and soul. They were always lustful They always dishonored their own bodies between themselves. They were always liars. The unsaved knew OF OF OF God but never KNEW God. God never walks away from the unsaved. There has to be a relationship in place to walk away from. What did the UNSAVED ever have to lose when they never had it to begin with? You cant squeeze blood out of a turnip. Now read 21-25 with the saved in mind. It will make alot more sense. Pay attention to the past tense grammar. The saved has things to lose as the unsaved dont. Cause they never had it. Their soul is already lost without salvation. Romans 1 21-25 is not talking about the unsaved. Its talking about the saved backsliding and not turning from their wicked ways and losing their salvation because of it. 24 Since the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there has been ONLY ONE WAY TO KNOW God. SALVATION. Paul and the Holy spirit would never use the words "KNEW GOD" loosely and contradict the words of Jesus in John 14 by implying we can KNOW God by His creation only. KNOWN OF GOD. 19. It is impossible to KNOW someone if you never met them and never had a relationship with. But only to know OF OF them. In 21 did God say "because that when they knew OF God"?? NO Romans 1 KJV 57 AD [21] Because that, WHEN they KNEW God ^^ ^^^ ^^^ ^^^^ ^^^^^ ^^^^^^ God said right here that they KNEW HIM. This means SAVED. Gods words. Will we deny HIS WORDS AS IT IS WRITTEN???? 25. The TRUTH OF GOD IS JESUS. John 14 KJV [6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. To KNOW GOD MEANS SAVED. TO KNOW OF GOD MEANS UNSAVED. Romans 1 21-25 is about the saved who backslid (turned back) and didn't turn from their wicked ways daily and lost their salvation because of it. 24 THE MESSAGE? Salvation is not a license to NOT turn from your wicked ways daily. Amen But there is a remedy to after backsliding. 😁😁😁 Ask me Amen Hebrews 10 KJV [26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. Knowledge of the truth means JESUS and the point of salvation and beyond. This means one WILL lose their salvation from ABANDONING their faith by not turning from their wicked ways. (Repent daily) Goes with 24 Turn from our wicked ways daily. (Repent daily ) There are no contradictions in the KJV HOLY BIBLE.

I see where it says redemption was from the transgressions committed under the Old Covenant but where does it say that redemption was for sins committed under the New Covenant?

Sorry, I didn't see your question until now. I'll give a short answer, but if you need more of an answer, don't hesitate to ask. I think you are referring to Hebrews 9:15. The author of Hebrews established that none of the sacrifices of the old covenant actually provided forgiveness of sins. As in Hebrews 10:4, "It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." But the blood sacrifice of Jesus provided the actual ransom payment for those who sinned but had saving faith in God under the old covenant. So in this way, Christ's blood sacrifice was a "retroactive" payment, as I spoke about in the message. The focus of verse 15 is primarily on that, I think...that even those who had faith and participated in the sacrifices under the old covenant still needed the sacrifice of Jesus to actually be redeemed. It is a given that those who are called within the new covenant...those who are called AFTER the sacrifice of Jesus...receive the promised inheritance. For Christ has appeared once for ALL...to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself (9:26). By the will of God, "we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (10:10).

Thankful God provides us with the baskets He does. There are so many things in the basket and looking back on them I can see God carrying me through each one of them. Pretty awesome to think we have Him by our side through each thing He has placed in our basket.

I met Pastor Mark on the phone the other day and you immediately can tell he loves his people and is truly called to be a minister. Not just a great Pastor but a great guy. Glad I got to meet him and now listen to his message.
