Hey, my friend, I was going through my older content wondering about translation. I saw the need to fix the auto-English subs in "The Elenvara" story song. I added the other languages as well. Should be easier to understand.

I put out a couple of MDQ (Modern-Day Quenya) videos with a few songs on each and a couple of other individuals. My description defines my classification of each sub-genre of Quenya Music. Great possibilities with this variety.

@@MythicDreamworks Because I know something, very little that I know of Quenya. I know a little English, but I do know something; and the music conveys the essential idea and gives us a reference to the content of the lyrics. Also, if I have doubts, I copy the lyrics and go to a translator.

Oh, they will. That would be the Gorokai. The humans split off to become honorable and civilized, unlike the origins. This was to represent the turmoil that plagues them. Some would do good while others not so much. It's quite true in our real world where not everyone can be true of heart. My next version is one of the Mermaids. I plan to represent the better Humans of the realm as an image. This reprentation shows the cruelty of Ralthor's creation.

Thank you. My list of materials to create grows faster than my ability to create them. I think I will continue to use the community section to post stories, then post the song relating to it. I may include a comment at the beginning of those videos to mention a story is there.

Yeah, when I added the Subtitles, I thought that to be a thing. I had no workaround though. lol

But on the catchy part, that's the MDQ part. In my head, the genre was created to represent our civilization where Elves live among us now and create homage songs of their heritage. blending today's lifestyle with the old. I try and lean it towards traditional Quenya with elements of modern style. There tends to be a grey area in which it comes close to crossing over too modern. tricky task actually.

This one got the Cinematic Quenya tag as opposed to the original version of Traditional Quenya. Cinematic is typically classified as a studio version of Traditional. In many cases it sounds more of the movie score symphony, but to avoid too many sub-genres, I group in non-acoustic styles like this. Traditional has the exceptions of piano and ambient elements to avoid being limited too much. You may have gotten all of this already and apologize if its redundant from the descriptions. I know you've followed much of my songs so wanted to make sure. I thank you for all the support. The channel is growing nicely. Thanks to people like yourself.

I found Quenya to flow better when initially starting. Both sounds better than English. lol. When I began this, I considered having both as Tolkien did, keeping the Quenya for High Elves. But from a creative point (considering how many songs I'm putting out) I didn't want to confuse things and have to label them appropriately. Another point being that the Elenvara would be the first-born Elves. They all descended from the same group that had already established a language. Being tight on tradition, it made little sense to have a different dialect. However, I have recently introduced 9 other Elven cultures (still deriving from the same origin) and it's likely that at some point, a group (let's say the Shaman Elves of Óremíro or the Mountain Elves of Gorathlin) can adopt a new dialect as they may feel slightly different to their kin and somewhat less proper. Long winded here (sorry) but I did consider it. I hope you still enjoy it. If I ever do take on that direction, I will mention you as a spark of motive. 😉
