I’m just trying to figure out how to stop my zz plant to stop growing.. I’m in the biggest pot u can buy at Walmart.. I’ve had the darn thing for 3 years.. it’s never stopped growing.. I do not know what I’m doing wrong.. my zz plant is all up in this massive pot I got from Walmart. It’s biggest they sell .. it’s stems are 3 ft long, leaves are up to 3 inches on a lot of the stems.. ITS MONSTROUS! I thought it was a slow grower! I’m not over watering it! I water it once every 2 weeks, I even only give it plant food once every 2 months now during growth season.. I don’t know what to do with this thing but charge it rent for as much space as he takes up 😂😂 it’s huge! It has almost a hundred stems on it.. it’s Big! I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SLOW IT DOWN! Smh ideas!?!? What am I doing wrong? It’s in bright indirect sunlight.. I don’t sing to it.. it would straight up kill over 😂😂 everyone would 😂 HELP! Besides getting a bigger pot, which I can’t find, or pulling it apart and making 50 medium sized plants which I’m gonna do, I don’t want 50 MASSIVE PLANTS! Way this thing grows!! Is it just this plant being weird!?! Like a dna issue!?! Like what happens to some people!?! Wth!?! Anyone!?! Is it me or is this plant weird!?!

Worked for me. But it took approx 9 months to produce a shoot with 2 leaves. I advise stem propagation for better results.

***THIS WILL NOT WORK**** Yes, it WILL root, but that it is the only thing it will do, it will never produce a plant of its own IE: it will NEVER grow any new foliage! ZZ plants CANNOT be propagated via leaf cuttings, they MUST be done via **STEM CUTTINGS** Don’t believe me? Try it, wait the 9+ months only to see the original leaf eventually root, live in water by its lonely self with no new leads ever produced, until the original leaf finally shrivels up and dies nearly a year later. It’ll take you less than one minute on Google to confirm this. Science > Internet.
