I would be happy if Brianna skips the indoor season due to the risk of injuries. I don't mind her running a few relay legs as strength training, but that's it. She already won the 60 meters title last year so there's no need to jeopardize her outdoor season, which is more important to her career when looking at the bigger picture.
@Objectivity-w5j14 сағат бұрын
@ I agree with you because I don't like indoors period...but she's on scholarship. LSU's primary objective is to get her to perform for her school if healthy. Their priority is not to save her for Worlds or JA.

Brianna will be more of an asset to LSU if she is healthy for the outdoor 100/200 double. They don't use her much in the indoor 200 due to injury concerns for her with the sharp corners. A fit Brianna for the outdoor races would gain them more points than a Brianna running strapped up with niggles, as occurred last year.

Alfred will not win any gold medals in the world championship, due to Jackson the Jamaican runner being fit. 11 days ago Alfred finished way back in fourth and was beaten by the Jamaican Jackson and Gabby the American second with the other American finishing third. Due to the Jamaican Jackson becoming 😢injured at the Olympics, she withdrew from the 100 and 200 meters, 4 x 100 relay. Alfred was lucky to win the gold medal at the Olympics, it was a fluke.

@kohane35 Your opinion is your own, but you can not have your own facts! Jaheel Hyde has been internationally renowned since he was a teenager. He is a 3 times youth world champion, Pan American champion, commonwealth silver medalist, who ran both the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles.I have not mentioned medals he won at Carifta games or junior olympics. How was he overrated? He might not have won many medals as a senior athlete, but his talent and accomplishments are well documented.

@kohane35 You said Hyde was overrated. I presented the facts, and accounted for his medals, proving otherwise. Now you present a new iteration about no one talks about junior athletes.Allow me to illucidate. Every track fan across the universe knows of, and speaks of Brianna Lyston. Still she has never ran on the senior circuit. Christopher Taylor is internationally known. Perhaps the greatest Jamaican junior athletes. He has never won a major race on the senior curcuit. Usain Bolt won his first under 20 youth WC..and his name was on everyone's lips years before he won in Beijing. Hyde was unbeatable in his respective discipline, as Chris Taylor was in his. Was Taylor overrated? Gout Gout is still in high school. He has never ran a race on the senior circuit.. but I bet you know who he is! There is major success, and recognition to be attained on the junior circuit. So much so, that high school athletes are signing NIL contracts. You speak of legacy, some are getting rich off the very recognition and potential that you are attempting to dismiss.
