The real question is how compatible Victrix cavalry is with other 28mm cavalry? While I don't mind some variation, the Victrix cataphracts I picked up recently looked so large (in mass and height), I would class them as 32mm compared to my 28mm Aventine cataphracts.

@@warrencann3824 it certainly was great fun and yes there was multiple prizes for painting, the usual best army, best unit and best model which was aimed at the really good painters but they also had special hobby awards (Enamel pins) for us mere mortals, these were handed out by the judges, I didn’t get one but such a nice idea. 🙂.

@@thomaslecomte1570 they are very nice. It was a mixed army event, you had an ambush army for game 1, then a different main army for game 2, then you got to combine the lists together in the final game.

what material do you use for the bases?

@@zweihander0993 I use Vallejo Brown Earth texture as a base, then add assorted tuffs , then finish with 2mm dead grass. All bases are MDF from Warbases, 20mm with 3mm magnets in them and trays. Hope this helps 👍

Is it common and accepted in practice in Kings of War to use models from non-mantic manufacturers? I'm asking because I've found some wargames atlantic lizardmen miniatures I like a lot, and am wondering just how many games I could potentially use them in.

Totally acceptable, it’s one of the real joys of playing Kings, I’ve built many of my armies by finding non Mantic models I really like and using them. I never had any issues playing them at any Kings events even Mantic official ones 🤷♂️👍

This is REALLY impressive. kudos to you for your patience, your skill and the sheer amount of storage space that you must have.
