Thanks for the video... It helps show the additional stability offered by the AMA Sidekicks.

Wow, can we get anymore shots of the water? I mean who needs a steady camera angled so that it shows the product? What a dumb video.

Have you clocked its top speed with a gps?

I own an outback....is that what yours is? Also.... I wonder how fast the wind has to be to gain good ground with the sail alone... You look like you were moving pretty good. How fast was the wind that day?

That clear vertical tube is the speed meter, the higher the ball goes, the higher the speed

Curious as to the purpose of the water meter, just aft of the mast. Looks like there is a ball that raises and lowers.

Nice vid....but a lot of wind???? That is no more than 3 Beaufort, maybe less. A very light breeze.

i have sailed those a lot faster than that. i took one out in 2 to 3 foot waves once, except i was in a bay only 5 km across, so you can imagine how high the wind speed was. surprisingly stable, quick enough for what it is. my only complaints is it doesnt point well enough for my liking and doesnt tack across the wind very well. but what do you expect out of a kayak. lots of fun and worth the money.

How come there is so much water in your Hobie? Is it suppose to be like that or are you just heavy?

You are asking for trouble with your paddle stowed where it is. When your bow gets a good dunking the water can come over your paddle, it will then dive breaking it in two. Stow it on top of the aka's.

That looks so relaxing. Cant wait for warmer weather over here in Australia (NSW) to get out in out hobie kayak. We just bought the sidekick outriggers too. Because they make the kayak more stable when sailing.

So the reason it has training wheels is that the center of gravity is about 6 inches too high. I say recycle it into a real kayak. The other tri hull looks like a lot more fun. The white one just looks stupid. Any good sea kayak can handle those conditions easily.
