Love this story, hate that you have to tell it. My granddaughter has CDKL5, she is 9yrs old now and has not had any seizers since about age 2. I always say that you can't relax still because you are waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak. Aubree is high functioning. She can talk, usually 1-2 words at a time, sometimes 3 ex. Aubree Dada Bye. She started walking at 3yrs old. That can all be stripped with one seizer. At any moment. Thanks for sharing your story. Prayers for our children & grandchildren.

I lost my father five days ago because of cholangiocarcinoma. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer which was metastased to peritoneum. It was a painful fight for all of us, unfortunately he did not have much time and after 9 months we lost him. From time of diagnosis till his last breath I was next to him, thank you dad you always trusted me and I know there is no pain anymore and you are in a good place. RIP my father, my hero, and my friend ❤❤😢😢

How is it rare when this is the only form of brain cancer in adults that I have ever herd of like the primary brain cancer. The only other form of brain cancer in adults is medistatic? Also so many people have a loved one that has or had it? But it’s rare?

Once they find a treatment for autoimmune conditions, then they can complete transplants safely without the body or immune system rejecting the transplanted lung. Easier said than done.

I have been diagnosed with 3rd stage cholangiocarcinoma a year ago. Am 45. I had all the mentioned symptoms before i had a surgery after billary drainage was done for about three weeks to stable my bilirubine level. I had the surgery to remove the tumor with bile duct line including the goal bladder and half of my liver. i completed chemo therapy given to me by pills called "capecitabine". So far the ct scans and the LFT tests shows no regenrating of the tumor. I am now having a continous bowl movement and Lots of gas specially at night. should i worry?

My wife was diagnosed with stsge 4 on 5/18/2024. Her inly symptom was nerve pain in her right shoulder. The doctors believe it was swelling pushing her lung up into ger right side and pinching the nreves rhere. We took her for rotator cuff surgery a month before her diagnosis. They found a skight tear and repaired it. The pain didn't go away. A series of tests revealed later it was bile duct cancer.

Im sorry for what you have gone through. My husband went through a lot of what you hàve gone through. Some of my husbands diease got better over the years. After all he went through fighting Wilsons disease he died of cancer in 2008 at the age of 49. His family had a lot of members who had cancer that did not have Wilsons disease so it wS not the disease that caused the cancer. I was so angry because of his hard fought battle with WD and maybe I still am. I never dated because he was such a wonderful man I could not have replaced him. He sounds a lot like you. This disease changes everything, it is how we are able to cope with those changes our lives changed as his health changed as well.

You talk about specific treatments, but give no details of which ones, why? I was recently diagnosed with T1 High Grade NON muscle invasive, which remained NON muscle invasive after the second scrapping. I'm about to start Radio / chemo treatments, but in the meantime I am taking Ivermectin, 36mg daily for 3 months.
@SidKim-e3c24 күн бұрын
Same here. I was diagnosed with T2 muscle-invasive bladder cancer and will start chemoradiation therapy next week. Watched this entire video waiting for them to mention the type of drug (assuming immunotherapy) they used, but no mention of it. Mentioning the name of the drug would have been very helpful.

I have had LEMS for 20 years and I run an online LEMS support group with global membership. Janelle’s story is one I can relate to. I had breast cancer as my LEMS trigger. I have found in my 20 years of supporting LEMS patients that cancer triggers may be less than statistics suggest and other types of cancers can also trigger LEMS. (Para Neoplastic syndrome). Immune suppression as an initial go to for LEMS can be ill advised due to the potential underlying malignancy. Over the years, the stand out miracle drug for LEMS has been RUZURGI (formerly known as 3,4 DAP (or amifampridine BASE form) - base meaning no phosphate salt. Sadly it is now not available in the US. But it is available in Canada and Australia and other countries. It has gotten people out of wheelchairs. Newer versions of it - as attested to by so many of the people I have had in my LEMS support group, have simply and very sadly - not been as effective and have caused nasty side effects.
@ginnyboynton6038Ай бұрын
Sadly, until I had to switch to Firdapse instead of Ruzurgi I was living a fairly normal life. I was diagnosed in 2001 when my sons were finishing kindergarten and 3rd grade. I was diagnosed quickly and on 3,4 DAP or Ruzurgi I was able to use hiking sticks to walk on the Great Wall and at Machu Picchu including shooting an entire basketball game from the baseline at the Penn State basketball court without using any mobility devices. 4 months later when I could no longer obtain Ruzurgi I began having difficulty with my mobility and for the first time in my life, felt discomfort at numerous times during the day. In 2 years I had 7 seizures.

Such a shame about the Ruzurgi. So many people adversely affected after losing access.

I was diagnosed 8 months ago with GBC. Doctors performed a resection of 2 segments of the liver and lymph node dissection. Afterward, 1 lymph node tested positive. Following this, I started chemotherapy with Cisplatin + Gemcitabine for about 6 months. I am now waiting for imaging results. Since biliary tract cancers are rare, it would be a great help to know what habits might be beneficial and you are aware of any promising clinical trials available for this type of cancer. Thanks
