Is the radiator for the manual 1.8 any different than the automatic?
@tonytorques3 ай бұрын
It should be the same, you can leave the bottom ports exposed since it won’t use the transmission cooler on the manual. No coolant or anything flows through those so you could use the automatic radiator unless the parts store made one specifically for the manual. Usually not the case since it saves them money only seen it make a difference on Subarus

Mines 2x worse and I have to do the oem alternator on a 06 with 150k. Brake cleaner? Super degreaser soak? Replace all pulleys, new alternator and belt? Is the sludge acting like a gasket? I'm not doing any gaskets. This was a loaded test drive model that all the women in the family (even the "men") were EXTREMELY hard on and I've had to fix since the warranty expired. I've bought it a brand new set of tires 6 months ago that have been in the trunk and backseat. I bought Lifetime alignment at pep boys after I rebuilt the suspension, all they have to do is make an appointment. I know I'm going to punch a hole in the radiator even with cardboard. One guy claims you can't get the bolt out, the other video makes no mention of it. I'm going the remove everything route- tire, plastic, dipstick, every connector, radiator hose 4 brackets. 😢
@tonytorques7 ай бұрын
Oh yea the head gasket seems to have been going out on that car causing the leak. Seems to be a common issue with the higher mileage ones. The leak kept making the alternator go bad so the owner of the vehicle decided to sell it a few months after this video was made.
