Question for my brothers in bass (and sisters), how do you find the amp that fits you without spending $175,000 and buying a bunch of amps you might not like. I’ve already done the guitar center thing and they are very limited on amps. Thanks in advance.

I think this problem has troubled most people. Based on my personal experience, I would divide all amplifiers into three categories: those with rich timbre characteristics, those that are neutral and don't have too many distinct features, and those with high-fidelity and high resolution. After this classification, the range of product models we need to focus on and search for is narrowed down to one-third. Among these, first of all, consider whether the functions it includes are necessary for you. Then consider your budget and the usage scenarios. After getting in touch with a lot of products, I found that among the same type, the differences in timbre characteristics among various models are just slight, and no one will notice them when they are mixed in the music. I hope my answer can be helpful to you.

They all sounded amazing with the Musicman, but overall for me it was Eden. MarkBass in 2nd, then Hartke in 3rd.

Why would they put the Genzler 112 in this comparison when Genzler makes a 210 in a bass array cab?

All sounds good! I can definitely hear the difference listening on my M1 iPad Pro. I was on the fence between purchasing a Mark or Hartke rig, short of checking it out in person, this video sold me on the Hartke per my playing style.

Awesome video, thx! Would've been nice to have a recap at the end quickly going thru each amp. 😁

This video is great and very well put together, it's just such a shame that none of it can really be used as a basis for comparison of these amps or cabs - the EQ settings on all the amps are wildly adjusted in each sound clip and differently EQ'd from amp to amp.

They are all incredible but I like Mark Bass. It just sits in the mix perfectly for me . By the way, bro incredible video.🫵🏾🔥
Listening to this on my phone quietly as the wife is sleeping, I can't hear a difference on any of them. I'll have to come back later with a better setup.

The guy got poor slap technic, got big problem with correct sound from thumb on low strings. and one thing which is visible pretty much - better bass makes correction of his poor slap

Phil Jones sounds like it has a blanket over it. Can't believe the highs are really that muted...can this be over come with treble adjustments on the amp??

they all sound the same. the only difference they have is probably build quality, but if you pay close attention the paul walker has a richer tone, that is the only one that sounded different to me.
