Totally get what you mean about Instagram reels! I want to see what all my friends are up to but I always get sucked into the reels. I wish there was a way to turn them off too!!

12:21 there was a recent update to allow people to turn the screen on with the page turn buttons! I can almost guarantee that you’re accidentally hitting the buttons with the case closed, go into the settings and turn the page turn wake up off and it should fix that for you lol

Someone recommended the app ScreenZen to me. Just started using it and I love it! You can block apps there completely or block them after a certain time. You can even block Shorts on KZbin instead of KZbin itself. So maybe also for Instagram. Maybe it will help you as well 😊

I was inspired to do my own social media detox!! I chose this month because it is the shortest 😂 It is absolutely necessary because I have been going crazy this week without it. Fingers crossed I feel better next week. I know the key is to replace that activity with something somewhat equivalent, so for me still mindless and entertaining. Pinterest kinda works. Reading kinda works.

My kobo has been doing that too!!! I thought maybe I was accidentally pressing the button when the case was closed but it's happened so many times when I've just been sitting at my desk and reading it between work sprints. So I'm guessing it's a software thing...I hope!

Great video. I'd love to visit Dublin and Cork and Cobh. I was just wondering what hotels you stayed at when you were in each of these places? The Titanic Museum is one of the places in Cobh that I really want to visit if I ever go there as I love anything to do with the Titanic

I just got home from a week in Dublin last night! We were at the same places! Oscar's house and that park with his statue, the GPO, and Christ Church Cathedral on Monday. We might have crossed each other without realizing! Lol and the pub's name you mentioned is pronounced with an h Shin É. I'm learning Irish. Means, That's it. :)

I'm Irish and i can confidently say you've spent more time exploring Cork than i have. I might have been there as a kid but my only adult memory of Cork is a work trip. I have hiked Glendalough where you were in Wicklow many times, its a great spot. The Trinity College Library, there's a show on apple tv called Foundation and they used that as the imperial library in that show. They did a good job keeping that secret because I had no idea that production happened there till I saw the show.

Always love your vlogs and I really enjoyed this one again. Makes me laugh when you say Ireland in a Irish accent and not a Dutch one 😂. You also seem to have managed to pick the one week in the year when Ireland had no rain so that's a miracle 😂. Glad you had a good time and good to have you back ❤☘
