So glad I searched & searched videos until I found yours! Exactly the same problem you were having, I've been experiencing & trying to fix, Well, knowing the sweet spot to bend the rod makes it work perfectly (every stroke). Thanks for taking time to inform the rest of us! :)

Why not make sure that you are truly saved by Jesus Christ and practice this way. Remorsefully confess with your heart your sins to Jesus Christ who is God and tell Him that you right now are repenting of your sins and you want to be born again of the Spirit from above. Tell Jesus that you are remorsefully sorry for breaking His commandments and that you are begging for forgiveness from Him. Allow His blood from the cross to wash away your sins. After this is done with your heart successfully the Holy Spirit will come to live within you and He will rebuild you from the inside out. Look for signs that you are saved. Things like spreading the good news from Jesus, getting other people saved, a craving for the word of God, reading the Bible, etc… These things are known as a calling and fruit bearing. If you're not bearing fruit then keep doing it. Sometimes it takes time to get saved. Read Matthew chapter 13 from the King James Bible. God bless!!

My dad bought a used Dillon 550RL from a fri6of mine that no longer had the room in his house or time to reload. We set it up this past Friday an vs that's one of the problems we are having with it and we'll try that. Also the screws that come in through the bottom under the primer bar keep coming loose, I tightened them up but then it's too tight and the primer bar doesn't move. I back them off a hair and within 3 or 4 strokes they're so loose the whole assembly is sloppy. Another issue we are ha6is sometimes a primer feeds upside down or sideways. We know we got them fed into the tube correctly however.

it sure helped me figuring out where is the problem, now i go bending that sucker and see if it works.... curious thing though it never happened before and I have it at least for two years now, maybe more and it's been trough a lot of ammo... it might be that in time that rod get "lazy" and need a bend to give it some new life...

Get a primer bar bearing kit. It installs easily and has a bearing to keep the primer pickup bar aligned. It also comes with a stainless steel slide. Makes primer misfeed a thing of the past.

Wish I had seen this when it was new. At around 9:00 you're discussing how the charge weight might be off after the cartridge count goes away and the weight returns to the display. You seem to dismiss the significance of +/- 2 or 3 grains as only being an accuracy problem and it won't affect whether the shot goes off. Mr. Luv1911, +/- 2 or 3 grains is the entire range of an acceptable powder charge for some cartridges. That could lead a new reloader to think that being off 2 or 3 grains is ok. IT IS NOT! The proper thing to say at that point is that an overcharge could send the pressure dangerously high and the charge should be returned to the hopper. Other than that, it is a nice overview of the Chargemaster.
@philroberts62745 жыл бұрын
2 or 3 TENTHS of a grain is not going to blow up a round. You said GRAINS...he was talking about TENTHS! He strives to have it dead on....and what he stated was that if you were off 2 or 3 TENTHS that it wasnt going to prevent the finished bullet from firing!
@David-hm9ic5 жыл бұрын
@@philroberts6274 Agreed, 2 or three TENTHS isn't or at least shouldn't be critical and wouldn't keep the finished ROUND from firing. But he didn't say TENTHS. He said GRAINS. --TWICE. I went back and replayed that section of the video and he clearly said GRAINS; not tenths. It doesn't matter what he meant when giving that kind of information about reloading; what was actually said is what matters. Being precise is as important in verbal communication as it is in the actual reloading process. --But then I've only been reloading safely since 1978 and I do own and use a Chargemaster 1500.
@philroberts62745 жыл бұрын
@@David-hm9ic After re-listening to the video..you are correct. 10ths were not mentioned. However...with all the other visual aids and verbage...hopefully..no one assumed that. I think the key was to have it perfect...and that was went over pretty well. But you are correct.

calibration also becomes more accurate if you place the weight exactly in the middle of the scale dish instead of off to the side. another thing that helps is having a single 100 grain weight. best/cheapest way to get check weights is buying a old fashioned style balance with the two dishes, they usually come with a set of weights in a protective case. I got my old fashioned balance set, new from the store, at $25.
