Go into spectator mode if you prefer that. I probably wouldn't personally but everyone has their own ways of playing mc so using cheats is fine if you don't want to look for the portal in survival.

Idk if you've figured this issue out yet, but just in case; Maybe the Minecraft Launcher was still up somewhere, and it was connected to a different source/window capture that was above the main game? I'm not 100% what the OBS Studio menu looks like as I use Streamlabs, but they might be simular. I know sometimes if I have a window capture and it doesn't automatically connect to my game, it might connect to a window that is no longer running, making it show a frozen screen that I don't even have open, so that could also be the case.

A Few factors probably contribute to the success, for one, the title got me hooked because it made me curious as to what would make me understand why its a hour long, another thing is the familiarity of the thumbnail, everyone recognises the minecraft title screen, also your voice isnt annoying or overly hyper which makes it cozy to just listen to

The title (is very intriguing), it being minecraft (lol), also if people like myself wacth the full 8 minutes that is a pretty good retencion time, meaning your video is making people to sit and watch and youtube LOVES that so it migth be why is getting views. Also like other comments said your voice was not very boring but not very "too much energetic" and the play style remind me of when I first play minecraft (no bad towards your play style, its just exactly what I used to do and the sounds of the mobs, dying in the nether its so funny and somewhat relatable, people like "relatable", is more comfortable) As writing this (20 min into the video) I totatly forgot the video was still playing, minecraft sounds are so confy and what you are doing in game and what you doing reacting to it, it ties well together, not to boring not to energetic, just peacefull. Its comfortable to be at peace, might be the reason people are watching, they are relaxing to it, thats not bad right? Anyway good video, if its getting views it is in some way, good luck with everything and I hope this comment helped a bit.
