Airport Layout Map that you use and say is “well-hidden”…”difficult to find”…that’s on Page 1-9. Figure 1-1. I believe we number things sequentially from 1 upward. That wasn’t very difficult to find. Also, this is not the Airport Layout Plan being used in the EA now under review. You might want to use the correct information when you’re “educating” the public. The 2000 EIS for the runway safety areas involved moving a flowing body of water…that might be why it was under the domain of an EIS. Good job comparing a relatively small-scope, large impact project to one that is larger-scale and relatively small impact.

Back in 2019, I moved into Branford. I had family here and was always being told Branford is a safe town with a great police and fire dept. Now 55, and have been in town 5 years now, I have seen and heard a lot. I have noticed the fire and police depts have been busier than in the past 4-5 years. My wife and I listen to our scanner and hear the police being used on fire scenes, while police calls coming in, and we hear the radio person ask the officers if they are free due to being short-staffed. When we first move here, our neighbor mentioned the town had Aux Police, and Fire Police, then early 2022 our neighbor said there was no longer fire police, nor Aux Police. She went on to say, the Aux police were never used, but the Fire Police were really active. Was there a budget cut? Keep up the good work.

Watching this meeting, the pictures clearly show, the sanded area is not wetlands. Just by looking at the tree line anyone should see the trees and grounds drop down, I would say close to 25 ft. So, from the tree line back being lower, the sanded part being dry, even after trucks and heavy equipment tracking through it is still dry. How can it be called wetlands. Where did the woman receive her degree from? All I hear for her is, not sure, hmm, I think, I drove by, ... This homeowner is trying to improve his land, more taxes for the town, and they deserve a knowledgeable person to read the land, this person is not educated enough to be where she is. Retired USCG, 50 years, 14 in wetlands.

I see it happen in security, law, in-house, .... The security, law are the first to cut back on. The bean counters say " we are not having nor had any problems, so cut back on Officers and training as ecurity companies" They do not understand there has been not problems due to the man power, you cut it and the problems will start and twice as bad. You do not cut funds on police and fire.
