JUST starting my TRT journey and found this very informative even though I don't have testicular cancer. The Dr. sure sounds like she knows her stuff and thank you for letting her speak without interruption. I kind of wish the Dr. would have "pushed" a little as to which option is easiest/best for most men but I realize that everyone's situation is different.

Women don't care about men's health. Women are taught to hate men, men are bad, misogynistic etc.. women doctors look at men and track men with these "colored glasses'. More men die due to skin cancer, but you never hear that. Doctors only care about mens health when they are newborn to slice off their foreskin to make a quick buck. After that its the typical cliches about why men dont see doctors and the women-splaining begins.

Back in January this year after noticing one of my testicles being twice the size of the other i went straight to the doctors to get it checked out, a month later i had an ultrasound which turned into having a ct scan which they could tell it was a tumor, i had the testicle removed end of March, luckily it hadnt spread anywhere but i had a round of preventative chemo, its mad how much i can relate to this gentleman!

Thank you so much for doing this interview. Nothing but tremendous respect for Dr. Kern and also fascinating to hear the perspective of a doctor going through the decision-making process as a patient for the very disease he himself treats.

Note - The blood tests for tumor markers have a twenty percent false NEGATIVE. I had RPLN 5 and 8 cm and large left Supra clavicular nodal involvement. My tumor markers were always normal (alpha fetoprotein and beta hcg)

I was stage 1b, had my left testicle removed and was put on surveillance. 1 1/2 yrs later it spread to my lymph nodes. Had RPLND last November and I'm back on surveillance for the next 5 yrs! Love the pod cast :D Thank you Steve!

After my rplnd in recovery I had excruciating lower back pain on the left side. This was level ten pain in lasted for months. I was discharged from the hospital with a bottle of five hundred percodan pills.(they didn’t help). Apparently the surgeon cut the nerves supplying the muscles on my lower left side of my back and these muscles were dying. An MRI showed my left para spinal muscles are fatty replaced. The pain I experienced was this group of muscles dying. Has anyone else had this happen?

HRT therapy worked great for me, especially when I combined them with weight training. Society needs to change its mindset towards anabolic steroids. With research, and medical supervision they could benefit us tremendously.

Was diagnosed in 2019 with mixed germ cell with an HCG of over 500,000. Had all the treatments including 2 brain tumor removals, 2x High Dose Chemo with Stem Cell transplants. I was on watch until July of last year when my AFP started going back up. 3 weeks ago I went to Indiana and met Dr Einhorn and Dr Cary. Dr Cary did an RPLND on me and now at home recovering. I've enjoyed the stories and interviews you've been covering on the channel!

All knowledge is a click away on GOOGLE. They told you to go home for two or three weeks. I am in disbelief. Your words are too kind towards the doctors.
@almaxie3427 ай бұрын
A seminoma will generally stay in the testical longer causing a very large scrotum. A non-seminoma like embyonal carcinoma tends to spread early on, so you don’t see much enlargement of the testical. I can’t believe you were discharged from the hospital after the orchiectomy. I was admitted to the hospital and started chemotherapy three days after my orchiectomy and CT scan. Go home for three weeks THAT IS CRAZY.
