Yes, that is what it is designed for. Not sewage...but mostly anything else.

No. This type of submersible dewatering pump does not have the pressure to supply a sprinkler system.

Thanks for the video, its very helpful One question Given the same scenario, why cant we use the hs3.75, isnt it suppose to be stronger ? So if the depth of the tank is less than 10 feet,. It wouldnt work at all ?

Hey Paul, we would recommend to always use GFCI outlets with submersible pumps.

Does this draw less amps compared to a same HP sewage pump? Am looking to have something I can hook up to my portable generator via solar

The HS2.4S is a 1/2HP trash pump that draws 5.4 amps at 115V. A 1/2HP sewage/wastewater pump in the Tsurumi line draws 5.8 amps, depending on the application. So, very similar amp draw. Keep in mind that the HS2.4S is not a non-clog pump, and is not designed for sewage. If you want a non-clog sewage pump with low amp draw, we recommend the Tsurumi 50PU2.4S. How far vertically or horizontally? If you are pumping along the ground then it can go a few hundred feet, but there will be friction loss along the way which will slow down the volume. Vertically the maximum height is 39 feet.

Hi - just wondering if this residue kit is compatible with HS 2.75S? Or is there an equivalent part for it?

Although Tsurumi does not make a residue kit for the HS2.75S, we have actually installed this residue kit on the HS2.75S. However, you will notice that the stock agitator on the 2.75S sticks out past the bottom of the residue kit when installed with the plastic spacers and steel washers. There are two options to account for this: You can replace the 2.75S stock agitator with the agitator from the 2.4S which is shorter, or you can add spacers to the residue kit to push it past the 2.75S agitator. You will have to find similar spacers at your local hardware store. Please keep in mind that this is a workaround and Tsurumi Pump will not warranty such an installation. But, based on our experience, it does work. Let us know if you have any other questions!
