🇯🇵I'm Japanese, and this is the first time I've heard that people overseas are impressed by a Japanese game. It is the greatest RPG ever produced by Japan, and I believe it will continue to be beloved even 100 years into the future. ARIGATO! from Japan.🍣🗻🗼

This ending got me so depressed, I stopped playing games on my PS2 for a month or so. Developer is a genius for crafting a story that can still make people cry even decades after release.

I'm a 43 years old family father and still this scene makes me cry like it did back in 2001. Damn, right in the feels. Square, you did an amazing job, a very emotional journey to save the world, created Zanarkand. Thank you so much for the experience.

Bro, I am a 81er, too. And once every 2 or 3 years I revisit this scene, cry a bit and get it out of my system. I have been doing this for like the last 20 years. This scene is peak emotional gaming history. The scene is perfect down to the smallest details: Yuna always chose duty over her own needs and desires. And in this scene, when Titus turns away from her, you can see how torn she is, between doing nothing and doing something, knowing that the moment to do something will slip away very soon. And then she decides to do this single, small, selfish act of wanting to hug him one last time, and everyone watching it wants it, too. And then the colossol, cosmic unfairnes hits you as hard as Yuna hits the ground. And when they show the closeup of her face, you see her defeated, she doesn't even have the strength left to cry, there are no tears, no emotions. When she collects herself, the japanese and internationl versions famously differ, but both deliver and succeed in their very own way: in japanese she says "Arigatou", ie "Thank You", thus commenting on everything she and Titus have experienced and done together, be it professional or personal. And internationally she says "I love you", which hits closer to the heart.

I'm a 66 year old man and have been playing this game since it first came out over 24 years ago. And I cry like a baby every time at the ending. I know that sounds weird but it really is a sad story. And to me I immerse in it like it's real life. I'm not sure what that says about me, And I don't really care.

I love watching reaction videos. FFX's ending I love watching female reactors. I think it's because the storyline reminds me of star--crossed lovers of sort filled with romance, adventure, love and heartbreak and tragic farewells but ultimately the female protagonist's life is better for it in the end. I get teary eye here too still. Music from Nobuo - so well placed here. Like #899.
