The brake van special coming off the Glasson Dock branch past the gasholder was one of a few organised by local enthusiasts . I was on one of these with the Lancaster Railway Circle back in the early 1960s . Happy Days . Dave H Carnforth

The inside is as depressing as the outside. I used to think that one day it could be restored, but clearly there just isn't enough left. Better-preserved theatres are still facing demolition.

Wonderful bit of nostalgia. I have been looking for any film or photos of the Lancaster to Glasson Dock branch. Without any success. Only a few trackbed pictures.

I did notice in the cage on the right in the entrance of haunted house ride in Bengaluru India carnival in 1977 and 78 there used to be a caveman monster with blue hair but I went on the ride again in 1988 10 years later and 12 years later in 2000 and we has gone

That was fun! And I should know, because Keith and I used to knock around Blackpool Pleasure Beach a lot in the 90's! ... In fact, I'm looking for a 30 year younger version of Keith and I in the the video! So many classic rides and attractions: Big Dipper, Grand National, Steeplechase, Fun House, Monster, Space Invader, Noah's Ark, Tidal Wave, Tokaydo Express, Ghost Train, Monorail, Cable Car, Avalanche, The Mouse, Dodgems, River Caves, Tunnel Of Love, Goldmine, The Flying Machine, Revolution, the list goes on and on! And who could forget that human "spin drier" thing? Bloody noisy place tho'! Great times! 🤣 ... Life's no fun anymore! 😭

Fucking hell that ghost train old footage blew me away, that spinning tunnel/spiral used to go so fast before the 2000s, same with the skeleton bikes, I didn't know the wood corridor before the cogs used to be strobe lit that was interesting and that the caged creature used to be next of the floating skeleton head.

I really appreciate the considered and well researched nature of this video. I have been looking forward to 'Lost Railways of Lancaster & Morecambe - Episode Three' for circa eight years. I have watched other videos on Railways in the Lancaster area, nothing comparing to: 'Lost Railways of Lancaster & Morecambe - Episode One' 'Lost Railways of Lancaster & Morecambe - Episode Two'

the good old days when it was gold! the best day out in England now its boring run down waste of money way overpriced and mostly empty not like this great video when it was packed of smiling happy people! I visited in 94 for the big one opening I remember how it was before the rides was scraped and fountains and walkways replaced rides for fun priced so all can afford
