There's a light, covers up my doorway Flickering light, never run away And I might, I might be going your way Say who might, might help me on my way Mmm, what a sight, sight to burn the ego Keep you warm and never let go And the light coming my way, Compared to what others have seen Napoleon the strong he once had it As a sound that was loud in his dream And I stand, locked before the four ways Wind and snow, heaven and I I belong wherever men like that stay I can feel it burning in my eyes And the light coming my way Compared to what others have seen Napoleon the strong he once had it As a sound that was loud in his dream PART TWO Heavens child, it’s driving me wild, Honey I know that it’s right Well, I got this message that makes me feel good Carries me out through the night Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me! Well, I move through life like a hurricane lamp Lighting the road as I go Spreading this music, injecting the light Please let it stay, never go Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me! And I think of napoleon and others before Parallels seem to exist I follow it, follow it, keep it in sight Napoleon would never have missed Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me!!

This is so very different from the single version... and I am in the happy position of being in love with both versions. Superb - especially the quick-skipping, perceivedly never-sinning vicar.

Syd Barrett did not have latent chizophrenia... He simply took too many drugs!!! Unfortunately he had the wrong friends and hung out with junkies... It's a sad story... A real emotional ordeal for the whole Barrett family... Syd was a talented, gifted young man... Founded Pink Floyd in 1965... Got a record deal in 1967 and made Pink Floyd famous!!! In April 1968 he was kicked out.... Sad story!!!!! The other three amateur musicians no longer wanted to be architecture students and wanted to become full-blooded musicians!!! Syd Barrett could no longer play a proper scale... He had his blackouts... Unfortunately Pink Floyd is not a buddy band... In my eyes 👁️ they just used Syd!!! He stayed in the group for as long as it seemed sensible... That's how the three architects are... Roger Waters said let's carry on without Syd... He didn't pick him up... Rick Wright said to Syd: I'll just get some cigarettes and had a live performance with the band... Pink Floyd you have to have real friends... A sad, painful experience for Syd... He threw himself into it completely... It's sad that he never had therapy... A psychiatrist could have helped... Psychiatry wasn't that advanced back then... But it was in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s... Strange that no one from the Barrett family or the band could motivate him to do it...

Their B-Sides were a lot more creative, although, not as popular as their hits. It's great that those songs have come to surface now,
