Motorcycles lane splitting... will run right into those little tiny front open Wheels and fly right over the bars. NTHSA has never approved this car I can guarantee you and that would be one of the main reasons. This car will never be approved or for sale.

Here we go again. Another idiotic concept that will never be commercially viable. You get a whole 40 miles from the solar charging except when it’s snowing or raining or a cloudy day. Who exactly are they marketing this boondoggle to? Is it a family car? A sports car? An off road car? No, it’s not any of those cars. Only an imbecile would want this nonsensical idea of a vehicle.

Looking forward to my Aptera in my driveway here in Ontario Canada. Hope they sell a winter version of the front wheel skirts, current ones will act like snow plows. Note from my solar panel output this winter expect some ware between 0 to 5miles of solar for 4 months a year. OK with that. Also hope the redesigns stop soon, so that Aptera can head for production. Hopefully might see mine by 27/28

Start producing Aptera for public use. The bugs will come out and that’s when it can be better. Nothing is 100% perfect but this is one vehicle that will change many things.

They need another $60M of investment money and 6 to 9 months to get to production. Making cars is not cheap, quick or easy.

I’m 6’-5”, it’s fine. My preference is to get in butt first. I do the same with my current car, a VW Golf TDI Sportwagen.

PI2 is this track vehicle, PI3 is for software/firmware integration, and PI4 is the full interior show car. PI2 and PI4 came to CES

I remember watching this live and thinking “Wow, how embarrassing for the two Senators that at their big moment they aren’t getting the big celebration. Rather this man is cussing on live TV and probably won’t have a job tomorrow.” I voted for President Bush in 2004 and sat watching this as symbolic of a lethargic campaign that Senator Kerry ran coupled with a vanilla choice for Vice President.
