amazing...my comments from two different KZbin accounts keep vanishing???

Hi there! I'm really not certain what comments are vanishing or from what accounts or why you'd use multiple accounts to comment. I hope you have a great day!

How does this lesson change when you factor in the fact that the law was only given to old covenant Israel and has not existed for nearly two thousand years?
@sjcoc3 күн бұрын
The lesson and scripture is still very applicable. How would it not be? The law still exists for Judaism, though it hasn't been practiced in full since the temple's destruction in 70 AD. Christ fulfilled the law, but Israelites who reject Christ keep themselves under the requirements of the law whether they meet the requirements or not. Regardless, my question on your original comment would greatly help clarify what you're implying or stating regarding the law, the curse, and redemption.

And thank you for commenting. I'll try to respond as I can. Be blessed!

@sjcoc how can it be applicable if you are putting people under a law they were never under?
@sjcoc2 күн бұрын
The whole point of Galatians is that we aren't under the law. We're under grace, which is given by Christ and accessed through faith (not simple belief, but devoted trust). Even without the specific law, we do often fall into efforts of works and regulations to earn God's love rather than resting in His love. We all, also, are subjects to sin with or without being born an Israelite under the Mosaic law, in this way we are all held accountable to moral law by a moral lawgiver - God. Romans 2:12, "For all who sin without the law will also perish without the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law." Whether we're born under the law or not, we do all sin and need Christ to redeem us. Again, this is the point of Galatians. How can it be applicable to people never under the Mosaic law? The letter was written to a people not under the law in refutation of those trying to put them under the Mosaic law. If it's applicable to them, it's applicable to us. And if Paul calls out their enslavement to sin with or without the law, then he also calls out our enslavement to sin with or without the law - prodding us on to love God and others as we rest in His love first; to recognize the fruits of the flesh vs. the fruits of the Spirit.

@@sjcoc So Paul was wrong when he said "sin apart from the law is dead and not imputed" and "I would not have known sin but by the law"??? Christ didn't die for "efforts of works and regulations"... You can't be guilty of transgressing a law that you are not subject to...this why why Paul said "there can be NO transgression where there is no law" Do you believe that? Simple really... The "gentiles" (ethnos) being redeemed in the first century were scattered uncircumcised northern kingdom Israelites. We know they are Israelites because Paul told them "we were kept under the law" and "the law was our tutor" Pagans were never "kept under the law"...the law was never a tutor for pagans. Jews = southern kingdom = those near = had the law Redeemed gentiles= northern kingdom = those afar off= had not the law. Other gentiles = true pagans. Were you ever part of the old covenant of law that Moses mediated?
@MandMe914 күн бұрын
Were you ever part of the old covenant of law that Moses mediated? If not (and you weren't) then you were never "under the works of the law or cursed by it." Pretty simple stuff.
@sjcoc3 күн бұрын
Same question I left on your original comment. I'm not certain where you're coming from or implying and would appreciate clarification, if possible.
@MandMe914 күн бұрын
You were never under the works of the law. You were never under the curse of the law. You were not redeemed from the curse of the law. You were born apart from the law. Paul said .."Sin apart from the law is dead" Do you believe him?
@sjcoc3 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your comment. Can I ask: What do you believe regarding the law, the source of the curse, redemption from the curse, and the context of Romans 7:8?

Why would you fear a loving god? That makes no sense. Nobody fear Santa.....
@sjcoc15 күн бұрын
That’s a great question. I think something of the meaning can be lost in translation. But it becomes more clear when you read other parts of the Bible. It’s not fear that He’s evil. But there is a natural response of fear and reverence every time someone has a close encounter with God and gets a clue of how powerful He is. You can see it in Isaiah. And even in Simon Peter when He witnesses Jesus’ authority over creation. I hope that helps :)

I've prayed about what I am going through. God has brought me through 25 rounds of radiation, 6 of chemo and 3 immune. They said it's not curable and now they want to do the red devil chemo. I've decided to the quality of life I am blessed with. Have I let God down? I'm a fighter and someone I love said What happened to the I'm not a quitter? A slap would have hurt less. 😢 enjoying your preaching.

Have you let down? God is not let down or disappointed in you because of your mortality or acceptance of it. He mourns our sin and sent Jesus pay that cost on the cross so that we can inherit grace, peace, and eternal life with Him. 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 has often been a comfort and encouragement to me in light of suffering and mortality. Our bodies are tents that will, inevitably, collapse one day, but will eventually be given a heavenly dwelling. I believe God always answers a prayer for healing. Sometimes he heals miraculously, sometimes through medical intervention, sometimes through the passing of time as the body corrects itself. Sometimes, however, he heals us by calling us home - and that healing is made readily available through Jesus Christ. I'm sorry that you're facing this; that mortality is square in your face. I believe the Lord is with you, and if you've put your faith and trust in Him, then you are saved and redeemed. The only fight worth fighting - the only one that truly matters - is the fight for faith on behalf of our blessed hope in Jesus by His love. Though I don't know you - I will be praying for you.

@sjcoc Thank you for your comment. God has been with me all my life and kept me out of harms way many times. I never expected to be in this situation. My mother who I lost 4 days after Christmas last year said what have you done to deserve this? It's not fair. Said mom God never promised us a rose garden. It's life. I'm tired and can tell a difference in my strength the last couple of weeks. I don't want to leave my sons but sometimes things happen to lead people to Jesus. This is the hardest decision I've ever made. God willing I'll be 80 in a few months 🙏 and thank you for your prayers. God bless you

Preach!!! It’s not about “behavior” it’s about the pursuit of God, the Bible and new understanding - to remain in love. And, “our children need to see the application of our faith”… yes!!!

LIAR! JESUS is NOT our OLD TESTAMENT GOD or the FATHER refer to (KJV ISAIAH 41:4, 43:10-15, 44:6, 45:-5-8, 45:21, 22, 48:2 and 48:12). The GOD of ISRAEL/The LORD of HOST is a SUPREME SINGLE MONOTHEISM ALMIGHTY HOLY ENTITY GOD and NOT a DEFEATED WHITE GENTILE PAGAN TRINITY God like JESUS.

I’m very grateful that God knows my innermost thoughts. Because of that I never have to filter myself when I pray or pretend I’m in a better mood. I can share my real raw thoughts and emotions with Him knowing He loves me anyway. :)
