By the way, from the onset of the ads you see two “censored” cards above the logo. It originally depicted a parody of the Olympic rings..but the International Olympic Committee stuck it to ABC, so that’s why the rings are censored.

I remember watching this live when I was a kid. ABC was doing a Fall Preview show in 1989 for the upcoming television season. I was a 12 year old kid starting Junior High and was starting to get into girls. The good old days.

He's adorable...then, now, forever. And Balki...my favorite tv character ever created. I worked in the same restaurant he did in the early 80's, while he was at Yale, in New Haven, CT, but I was day shift, he was night. I only knew that years later because my cousin worked with him at night and told me, after he got famous, that he had been working there when we were. My little bit of useless Bronson Pinchot trivia.

Remember when True Romance first came out and Bronson came on the screen and everyone yelled, "Balki!" Remember how it also felt like Perfect Strangers had already been off the air for 10 years, but it was actually still on tv for a few months more before the end of 1993? And remember that time where you were scouring KZbin for something you hadn't seen yet and came across a thumbnail and yelled, "BALKI!" Then you clicked on it and this what you watched?

I was today years old when I found out that Family Matters was a spin off from Perfect Strangers.

the 20's in that era ( 90's) is like the 50's in this one (2024)

2024 here. Axel Folly is back with Serge on the Beverly Hills Cop 4 which just premiered in the US (July 4 on Netflix globally) and the excited teen in me cannot wait. And seeing Bronson in the premiere looking gorgeous as ever is a plus. ❤
