It is just a real pity that Emmerdale is not like this nowadays it used to be brilliant back then something that was well worth watching but now it is just total rubbish

Jack Sugden was without question one of the best Emmerdale characters of all times it has been nearly a decade and a half since he was killed off in the show off screen from a heart attack same as it has been nearly sixteen years since the actor who played Jack Sugden in Emmerdale passed away from cancer in real life and truthfully the show has not been the same without him since

"They're better off without me" poor Robert never did stop thinking like that...and more often than not the people around him fortified that thought with their behaviour.💔

So those were Annie's last words and Jack's last appearance as a ghost? And they had the original theme tune. Was that Robert's last appearance too before the second Robert came some years later? Sweet how Jack loved Andy just like his own but Robert was jealous. He wasn't a bad person either, just didn't feel he could compete with Andy.

Annie seemed a scary woman but quite like Jack, firm and honest. She obviously sees andy as her grandson too. Victoria should know Andy is still her brother and Diane her mother. Victoria has her grandma's strength. What Lee did to her. And Diane and val were so sweet. Sad she died years later. These characters always seem miserable. They make Aaron perpetually suffering. Jackson, his so called dad, Robert. And poor Daz never quite fit in because Andy was his brother but he wasn't adopted by Jack, not really.

It's sad enough when a character is killed off because the actor has left the series but when the actor passes away its twice as sad..

I love how they did this episode to mirror the very first episode of "Emmerdale Farm" back in 1972; it has so many parallels with Jack/Robert both coming back to watch their father's funeral from a distance, wandering round the farm, talking to a woman on horseback etc

Real shame that Clive Hornby fell victim to cancer as if he was still alive Jack would most likely still be in the show. Losing Jack was big for Emmerdale as they lost their only original character and Jack was perfect as their version of Ken Barlow/Ian Beale.

Also the scene where Robert was leaning over the gate and Natasha talking to Robert whilst riding on her horse seems to reminiscences the Original Jack Sugden and Marion Wilks.

Yes, I never understood why Sam and Zak were pall bearers, they weren't that close to Jack really. Andy and Daz I understand, Coz Jack was their father figure. Eric Pollard would have been a good choice,. Coz he'd known Jack a lot longer than most of them in attendance, and if Robert was there, he'd of been the fourth

The scene where the funeral car goes to the village and Natasha Wylde overlooking while riding on her horse always reminisces the first ever episode of Emmerdale Farm.

I think that was the idea because he was the first emmerdale character this whole episode was trying to play homage
