Was that Caldera de Montana in Playa Blanca? looked like it. Been up it twice. First time years ago my mate and I took the side path up and down. A year or so ago I decided to do it again and test the new microphone I got for my camera see how much wind noise it would cut out. And It can be pretty windy up there. Second time though I didn't use the path up. I walked along the resort waterfront till I was directly in front of the volcano. Walked up the path past waste ground to get to the road that runs along the front of it. I walked and climbed up that steep front ocean facing side to the top lol. Funny thing is first time we were up it it seemed like quite a drop and my mate was too scared to go too near the edge. But it didn't seem so bad when I climbed up. Though that's probably not a way the tourist books would recommend.

It was the first time doing anything longer than a marathon for some of our group. Hopefully we'll be back to do the full thing next year!

Thanks, I think we may have one or two FB friends in common. If you could msg me on FB, I will give my ideas for an additional text annotation, explaining what parkrun is, how to join, what to expect when you go, etc, and about not forgetting your barcode, ofc.
