I fix my keramik ventil on eq 7, but still coffee goes out in cup a bit later.. what u think they could be a problem? I clean flowmeter also.. maybe problem on brew unit?

Sadly, this did not solve it for me. I threw away my last gaggia Brera due to the same exact issue. This one I’m about to throw through the window.

But do you have to open the machine or you can just turn the dial??

Really useful video and a good idea. However, thinking more about it for my 8000 machine, I managed to use the top of a lipped rawlplug by cutting about 4mm long length and inserting it in the hole at the corner of the plastic cover (where Martin suggested putting the folded paper). The lip of the rawlplug raises the back of the on/off switch allowing it to activate the switch. It works perfectly and better than Krups' original flimsy design. A 5mm rawlplug can be used and push fitted into the hole. Just a idea. This machine also has a water tank float problem. I managed to use a KFC 90 degree straw from the side of the tank to carry the float in the on position permanently. I used a magnet on the side to keep the float raised while feeding the short end of the straw under it.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Took out brew group then blew out the machine with compressed air via the double spout. I was descaling the limescale when it blocked. (So now having a second descale) thanks again!!

My problem on this machine is when i press the on button to warm up the machine the rinsing water doesnt come out from the same sprout that the coffee comes out. It goes all in the bottom tray. The machine makes very good coffee but the bottom tray is always filling up with water. Do you have any idea on what is the problem causing this?

Hi martin l have a problem with water leaking out that part after brewing coffee perfectly. Could it be this not sealing properley due to build up of calc. It empties the water tank if i dont take the tank out.

My problem is that there is a lot of clear water coming out before the shot. Normally there might be a little but now there is a a lot more and it dribbles for a longer period of time after the shot is finished, again more than normally. Wondering if this same part might be implicated in this case or if anyone has any idea what's going on. I am not due to descale again yet but will try a descaling as soon as I can get the solution. Thanks

Thank you for such a fast reply! I noticed that you didn’t mention a small black nut that is attached to the second valve. I wonder if removing it will fix the problem, cause I don’t have any lime deposits inside but coffee all of a sudden stopped to drip.

But how to take that white piece of? If you don’t have take the whole machine apart?

Hi Martin. Your english is better than mine and I'm your standard aussie male!! I love my Gaggia Brera coffee machine. I have the later model. It is turning on with the NO WATER warning light on but there is water in the container. After about 10mins it will turn on and work. But.... always water under machine that requires wiping up. Tray fills up a fair bit as well. Enough water to be a concern. Took it to my local repairer who said there was too much water damage to repair. Report from repairer: • Error light illuminates when standby button pushed. • Water damage to insides of machine. • Water has damaged main pcb,water tank level sensor pcb and transmission assembly. • Boiler has lime scale underneath indicating source of main leak. • Machine un-economical to repair due to extent of damaged parts. (end of report) So.... what's your thoughts as I've got the machine back to repair myself and its working just fine again? But there is a leak and its always clean water under the machine and fairly dark water in the tray.
