This feature is so great. It was so nice finally getting to train against Rashid and learn what options I have to punish all the shenanigans I was unknowingly letting him get away with. I'd known that Rashid's wall jump into double jump was super unsafe for him, but finding that I could just walk under it and get a big juggle combo that could have killed makes it stick in my brain a lot better.

for the first punish you could have done OD burn knuckle wallsplat into heavy tackle, and do 4325 damage (starting with 3.1 bars of drive and no super meter). This option is good because you can do it further out from the corner

Tier list, i keep hearing how he needs to be nerfed but for normal players (like plat) he doesn't have any gimmicks to combo in from like Terry's burn knuckle and barrel roll thing, while being down 1000 health.

My go-to punish is OD knuckle -> H tackle -> H fireball -> DR -> crHP -> M crack shoot After this I can choose how much I want to spend. Meterless is just H DP. SA1 is just SA1 after the crack shoot. SA2 is OD quick burn into SA2, although that requires you to start the combo at 4ish drive bars or more for the full extension. For SA3 just L DP and cancel into it. It's consistent and pretty versatile. If you're going for max damage however, I don't think you can do better than start with DR crHP into H fireball. That seems like the optimal start for any max damage corner combo with him.

@@damezz1726 Yup. H DP is three hits and you can only cancel the first one, 700 dmg. L DP causes less damage overall, but it's only 1 hit, so you get 1000 DMG (scaled obviously) and then the SA3

I've been thinking a "puzzle" mini game would be very cool. The game gives you a very specific situation, and you have to solve it; like escape this burnout pressure or find a hard counter to a particular move. Simple puzzles could teach beginners the basics, but more advanced ones could test really niche knowledge about the game.

This is pretty off topic but I somewhat recently got a hitbox to use to play tekken. I’ve only played controller all my life so it’s weird getting used to the inputs, does anyone have some tips to get used to it or learning how to use it better

Hey i also switched from Controller all my life to Hitbox last year. What helped me was watching some videos on KZbin for Shortcuts to make some inputs easier. Also just playing lots of games to get the muscle memory! Its gonna be hard for a few weeks at least but afterwards its way more consistent, at least for me!

Play on both sides!! Especially in Tekken practice your movement and combos from P1 and P2 side. I find that facing left really requires practice on hitbox because you probably don't have the same level of dexterity in your pinky finger as you do in your index finger yet.

I'm only using the JP Terry voice because I know the TO's are gonna do it and the sound cues will affect my performance (definitely not cope for me not reacting)

I think most TOs are not gonna bother and leave the game in English. that always bothered me a bit because I tend to prefer Japanese voices, and the audio cues do matter enough that it can be a little bit to adjust to. I watch enough gameplay in the opposite language of what I mix and match that I don't get thrown off by it though. More fighting games need to let you mix and match EN and JP character voices.
