Presumably because we can’t swing in two planes in a dead straight line cos physiology. But it’s obviously better for hitting a ball in a straight line from a two planes perspective

@@mikanders1290 aiming at right edge of green. Scottie Scheffler does the same thing in terms of feet and shoulder alignment. He just aims more left initially.

I love the steep attack angle 📐 🙏….i bet she can hit out of thick rough better than the flat swinging men. A steeper angle gives a lot more power at the ball.

Yes, I have recently found that top slot in my backswing that perfectly aligns my club head with the ball. Specifically more for my longer irons including 3 hybrid

If she stood up it would be flat big time ! She is very shallow at impact right Good eye ! Hold a stick perfectly horizontal standing up so you form a perfect L then bend in the golfers setup and watch what is horizontal! That will say volumes Great !!!

Nope. ONE of the reasons is, Unless you set up to swing like DeChambeau or Mo Norman, your wrists are hinged at the start and un-hinged to a great degree at impact. We have to alter our swing path to account for this or we would completely miss the ball.
