Ah, Master Luke--there you are again. Did you hear the word "filotimo" while you were in Greece? Good video, and very good to see you. E.

I am wondering how is the travel experience now that this global pandemic is all over. And also that London is always the starting and ending point for travelers on Expat . I have traveled 3 times with the group and would like to do it again but there are too many restrictions. And how will the travel experience be in the future?

Hi Joyce, we are hopeful that our tours will be operational by the start of the European summer. We understand our travellers concerns and the uncertainty around travel, and we have therefore put a "no amendment fee" policy in place provided the changes are made 60 days prior to departure. You can find more info here - expatexplore.com/travel-with-confidence/ If you would like to discuss this with a member of our team, please reach out to us - expatexplore.com/contact-us/

Greece is an absolutely amazing country. I visited in 2019 and it greatly exceeded expectations, it blew me away. The people are so generous in spirit and culture, they share everything with you, from history to food, right down to their own soul. I have not visited Santorini yet, but its now at the top of my bucket list. This show is inspirational. Luke you are amazing. Jamie you have worked some magic. I can't wait for the next episode

The Panathenaic stadium is a little less than 150 years old. It's not the ancient stadium. It is the first stadium to host the modern olympic games in 1896. The ancient track is not in athens but Olympia in the Peloponnese.
@lukewatson34414 жыл бұрын
The original stadium was built around 330 BC, used to host the Panathenaic games every four years. Which was Athen's answer the games held in Olympia. The stadium was rebuilt in the mid-second century AD by Herodes Atticus, a wealthy Greek-born Roman senator who built a number of grand public buildings in Athens at the time. The site was excavated and renovated for the first modern olympic games in 1896 but the stadium itself, bar some renovations, is most definitely ancient.
