I don't know why everyone plays that G pattern, for this song.... Try playing the G as a barchord on the 3rd fret (355433), then transitioning to the Cm is just down a string (335543).

This is really helpful, I have to learn this for a rehearsal and there are so many chords changes and I was short of time. Also just sticking the capo on just let's those Cowboy Chords ring out nicely... add a bit of chorus job done. many thanks for sharing ! :) .
