Long live silver charm. He was one of the gamest horses ever, if he was on the lead and saw you coming he would look you in the eye and dig in. Would have won the triple crown 👑 if he would have been able to see touch gold way on the outside.

imagine, this horse won the KD and preakness and dubai world cup, no other horse did that until california chrome in 2016 so almost 20 years

the effect of value flows into his broodmares too. great broodmare sire like Zabeel. but Lonhro was a tenacious race horse, and this is stamped into his fillies and mares...real fighters when it counts, at the finish of races!

I love the pics of his old trainer Bob Baffert visiting him!!I understand Bob and his wife Jill donate a lot of money to this wonderful place.Wish I could go there someday!!

Because these are high strung, powerful horses even as yearlings. They need to be kept under control.

They are called a chiffany bit - it is used in sales - it's kind of like a pacifier - they chew on it - and used for control - it doesn't hurt them plus it teaches them to accept a bit later on -

Grey horses do. Some quicker than others. There is a TB named Hansen who started to grey as a yearling, and was nearly white by the time he was a 2 year old. His sire was Tapit, also a grey. (Jan Griffiths).

doesn't look to silver charm, silver charm was a little more dark you can see the difference between this horse in this video and the real silver charm??????

gray horses turn white as they get older :) they start out dark gray as babies and gradually get more and more light as they age. I assure you this is the real Charm.

Grey horses start out as usually dark colored foals, black, bay, brown, chestnut. The easy way to tell if a foal will grey out is to look at their color saturation. A black foal will be kind of a mousy brown at birth, and will turn black when his foal coat sheds. A black foal that will turn grey is jet black, like an adult black horse. He will get some grey hairs when he sheds his foal coat, and more grey every year until he turns white. It can take 10 years or more. (Jan Griffiths).

Grays whiten with age. My foal was black, at 5 he turned iron Grey, & as he aged he got lighter in color.

@@boswindle9050 Gray horses always lighten with age. His coat is white and what they call "flea bitten" with the tiny brown spots. If you don't believe what we're saying then Google Tapit, Winning Colors, Spectacular Bid, and Lady's Secret just to name a few. Both Tapit and Winning Colors were very dark grays and Silver Charm was no exception. The Lipizzan breed is born black and as they mature they turn white with light gray areas of their bodies or as most do, completely white. It is not unusual for foals to shed their foal coat at around four months. Palomino colored horses are originally chestnut colored. These are just a few examples of how coat colors can change as a horse matures.
