From what I remember, this song was seemingly tabbed and played wrong from every source I looked at. I eventually just went off the best video of the band's live performance, and even it was tuned up from the album recording lol

@@Favriffs Now i am listening very carefully 2nd riff and its very difficult to decode this part. As i am listening both guitars separately, I feel that they are not playing the same. Imho that palm muting part play both differently :/

​@@FavriffsI just went down the same rabbit hole. Saw a popular channel playing this the other day, and they got it completely wrong. I looked at a bunch of tabs online and they're all wrong! I learned the song by ear myself the way you did. There's a lot of guitarists out there who need to work on training their ear.

@GoreBastard yea, I agree. The only riff that was genuinely tough to hear what's going on is riff B, the pre verse, which I understand could be wrong. But how many people got the verses completely wrong was surprising. I'm glad you figured it out, too, because this is a very fun song to play. It's got all the quintessential death metal riffage. You're right about tricky. Not hard to play, but song structure-wise, there's a random feeling to it. At 3:30 I make 😬 face. Barely made it out of that section lol

I'm tuned to D standard. I based the tuning on the album version of the song, meaning, by ear, I found the lowest note and tuned my 6th string accordingly. After I found some videos of the song being played live by the band, and, between those and my ear, I figured it out the best I could. Now, the harmony is played around the 4th fret, so maybe that's why it still sounds right to you. Hope that helps!
