When I attended Tarrant County College (Northwest campus) we teamed up with the Northeast and South campus choirs to perform this. It was awesome. This arrangement had a profound effect on the history of music as it pertained to how the church viewed it. ETA: Since then, this has been my favorite of all the Glorias. As beautiful as it is to hear, it even more fun to perform.

The choral sound is wonderful, as usual. I was disappointed that the piano and choir were not in synch.

I do suggest that you go to a camp because it helps prepare you better but if you don't you will do just fine. :) I didn't go to a camp last year and I was able to still advance far. (Area) We can do this guys! :)

This is the best performance of this work I've seen. Too often it can end up sounding choppy instead of flowing as a continuous sound. The phrasing and dynamics here are perfect!

A beautiful rendition of this and a stunning performance! I would love to have the lyrics of this one. This piece is unique in that you rarely hear the same lyrics. Dr. Hightower, your music insight has only gotten better as the years pass. I was honored to be in your choir at Sam Houston State in 2002. Everything is presented with such brilliant taste and rich tone! I love Corporon's straight forward conducting approach. Everything is so clear. Also, fantastic recording technicians! This is now my reference recording of the Holst 1st Suite.
