The surface of the water is where all the fun happens!Foiling is for freaks!😂

It looks like you have difficulties when you're faster than the wind during the jibe. In that case the wind comes from the front and shifting the sail means pushing the sail through the wind. Not much you can do about it besides being prepared for it. Duckjibing could help but with a sail that size ... :-(
@kawakappa8252Күн бұрын
It seems better to read the wind and choose the place to do JIBE. Thank you for your advice.

At 0:55 you move your back foot to the opposite rail between the footstraps -- fine, but shouldn't it be about 3cm further forward and 2 cm further on the edge of the board? It looks like you may not have enough carving ability and lose speed by having your new front foot too far back. Also, ideally shouldn't you do your next foot switch straight into the front foot strap and the back foot strap? I don't know if you are having enough control as is, when you put your front foot in front of the front footstrap and the back foot in the middle of the board. Perhaps with a few pumps to get going and a bit lower hip position. Another option is to put the back foot in front of the back strap, then the front foot into the front foot strap, then the back foot into the back foot strap awhile later. Nice videos. I'm working on my gybes and these are giving me some ideas.
@kawakappa825224 күн бұрын
I'm trying to do things in order to avoid losing speed. The idea is to remove the back foot from the strap and step halfway between the front and back straps on the side closest to the center of rotation, leaning inward, with the foot you removed from the front side slightly behind the center of the front strap. The foot that was leaning inward is now in front of the strap on the side closest to the center of rotation so the board is flat. As you turn the sail, lower your back foot near the backstrap, preparing to withstand the power of the sail. But in reality, I'm not doing it. I've made a lot of improvement in the position of my first step, but I'm not able to move as I imagined. I still need to improve and practice. After hearing your opinion, I feel like I'm heading in the right direction. Please keep watching and give me your opinions.

Two small things to consider. Take your back foot out for a second before initiating the gybe. It'll help keep the board more settled as you enter the gybe. Any extra movement is just a loss of speed. Then at the end of your gybe, get your front hand further back once you've flipped the rig. Both hands of course. So the front hand closer to the front of the harness line. Gets a more upright rig to give that small bit of extra power coming out. Give it a try and see how it works out. Otherwise good job. Gybing in all conditions well is a life long process.

Too much on the rail, centre of gravity should be over and at the mast base. Risky only if its fwd as you've time enough time to feel the apparent wind to dictate use of the rail. You can feel the weight of the rig (masthead and boom) Let that work for you rather than ur balance through a turn as you've basically stalled on exit (wind is actually controlling you then, nothing you do can :) Center of gravity low and stable equals more control and pwr earlier out of the turn 😋At the 1min mark because ur already committed (relying ur balance) better a duck jibe especially when its choppy as you cant always see whats in front of you. Relying on apparent wind caught/caughting before/after ur balance is not stable unless you know its complete flat water ✌
@kawakappa8252Ай бұрын
Thank you for comment. I don't know why stalled at the exit, so I'm doing trial and error. I'll try it for better understanding.

@kawakappa82522 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. Wild Nature Plaza is a park located in Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. This is the middle reaches of the Kiso River.I like the southwest wind. In winter it is northwest and in summer it is south. In the southwest, it sometimes blows in early summer. It's completely flat.
