The violinist chose to play a sorrowful tune to mark the beginning of an autumnal heartbreak , it's sad notes pierced the sky like a dying bird still trying to fly. Chris.

Beautiful tune, such a meaningful performance as always ❤ 🎹

If you have not seen/listened to the full performance you need to do it. This man takes hold of you from the moment he starts walking in with his guitar, right before he sits to play this, and he just lays it out for you showing how to sing your heart and soul out for the world to hear and see!! Just beautiful!!

Was on a business trip and bumped into Glen Hansard one midweek afternoon in the merrion hotel in dublin about 15 years ago, chatted for a few mins. I'd already suspected, but it removed any doubt. This man is a truly rare treasure.

Leave the familiar for a while. Let your senses and bodies stretch out Like a welcomed season Onto the meadow and shores and hills. Open up to the Roof. Make a new watermark on your excitement And love. Like a blooming night flower, Bestow your vital fragrance of happiness And giving Upon our intimate assembly. Change rooms in your mind for a day. All the hemispheres in existence Lie beside an equator In your heart. Greet Yourself In your thousand other forms As you mount the hidden tide and travel Back home. All the hemispheres in heaven Are sitting around a fire Chatting While stitching themselves together Into the Great Circle inside of You. Songwriting at it's best. No AI, no ProTools, no pitch correction, just pure soul. Even the slightly "false" chord at 02:09 is kinda beautiful. A human is making music. 🤩 Well done, sir!
